Pam donated $100 of this back to Charity Day funds. The highlight of the day for one of our visitors was a Hole in 1 on the 15th for Andrew Brady (7) from RAE club. The golf was followed by a lovely luncheon prepared by our caterers Phatt Duck Solutions We must thank the local business houses, 48 in all, for their donations of goods and vouchers. Hampers & donated prizes formed the Tombola. Jeff Spender managed to convince members by way of auctions that they needed a holiday on the Gold Coast, required 6 bottles of exclusive wines, a meal at the Exeter Studio Restaurant and even convinced one member he needed a new set of golf clubs. The ladies on the Trading Table should not be forgotton. Thay had lots of jams, cakes & food for sale. A silent auction was held for a beautifully boxed collection of fine hand made and embroidered items. The final event was the drawing of the raffle by Peter Vicars. Peter and Sue had been instrumental in securing many items for the raffle. First prize was a $500 voucher to be spent at a Ralph Lauren Outlet. Second Prize - 2 lovely Bridge cloths and cards and lastly a bottle of Old St Andrews Scotch Whisky. Congratulations to all the winners on the day and of course the major winners were the Charities - Harbison Dementia Unit and the Wingecarribee Adult Day Care Centre. 23 ladies played todays 4BBB stableford event. It was a tough course with the day being won by Pauline Jeffreys from Queanbeyan with 88 off the stick. Pat was a winner on the day taking out Runner Up Nett in Division 3. We both scored prizes in the tombola. Leaving Bowral early in the morning it was raining and go worse as we travelled to Goulburn. But alas on arriving the rain was no where in sight and a pleasant day was had by all. Thursday - Charity Day - it has finally arrived. We have 89 players and a total of 115 for lunch. This year we are implemeting table sittings. This should alleviate the past years problems of not enough seats to go around. Accept our apologies for the crowding of the room but trying to fit 115 people who all want to sit in special places is hard to accomnodate. We hope to rasie lots of money for the 2 charities we have chosen this year, being Harbison Dementia Unit and Wingecarribee Adult Day Care Centre. The ladies committee thank you all in advance for making this day another success. Today the ladies played the 6th GNSW & Club Medal, 3rd Round McLeish Cup, Goodwill Plate & CSGA Diabetes Trophy. Some of these results will be announced at a later date.

Todays event was a 3 person coloured ball event. For those members who did not play the rules were.
Each team was given a pink ball. Each player took turns to play a hole with the ball. The scoring was stableford with 2 scores being used, BUT, one of the scores MUST be the pink ball. If the ball was lost or out of bounds you could only record one score per hole. One team that I know of were able to retreive their ball from the lake. All balls were returned to the committee at the end of the day. The winners were: Jeanette Schofield, Marcia Jackson & Jane Clifford with 78 points. Runners up were: Fran White, Trish Boyd & Jenny Grant 76. It appears that all players had a great day and of course the weather contributed to the day. We had 5, 12 hole players on the course today. It is encouraging to see these ladies enjoying their golf and we hope in the future they will join the main field. CHARITY DAY - is looming. There are tee times available for the late starters. See the starters sheet on the wall near the ladies locker room. There is alsao room for LUNCH ONLY guests. We welcomed into the Saturday field Jenny Grant and today we also had 2 visitors from Cumberland Golf Club. They told me they enjoyed the day and will return. Jenny Grant & Sue olson were the winners of the American Foursomes with 70.875, Runners Up were Barbara Wilson & Cornelia McDonald from Cumberland with 75. N.T.P - 14th hole was Stephne Whiteway and at the time of going to press Stephne was also on the Pro Pin - knocking David Boyd off. Steph lets hope you stay there. Tuesday is a 3 person team event.
