A blustery Saturday for the competition today. Seven ladies played a 4BBB Stableford.
The winners were: Pam Barker (27) & Beverley Kemp Clayton (26) with 45 points.
The long Drive on 18th Hole was won by Stephne Whiteway.

The team to represent Bowral in the Bowral Goulburn Shield has been selected.
Division 1 - Jill Scott, Irene Gilbert, Judy Windybank & Stephne Whiteway
Division 2- Sally Knackstedt, Beverley Kemp Clayton, Pam Barker & Noela McMurray - Recerve - Carole Turpie
Division 3- Rosemary Dpwning, Jane Clifford, Anne Vitou & Shirely Brereton.
Reserve - Uschi Eriksson.
Ladies if you now cannot make this date please advise Pam Barker ASAP.
We won the Shield at Goulburn in Autumn lets see if we can win it at Bowral in Spring.

Thursday 26th September - Par

Todays competition was a Par round. There were 2 divisions.
Winner Div 1 - Jill Scott - +1, Runner Up Beverley Kemp Clayton - Square.
Winner Div 2 - Uschi Eriksson +6, Runner Up Jane Clifford +2.
Sorry Uschi this is 2 games with great scores and no handicapping.

Rosemary Downing,Jan Lane & Robyn McGinnes.
NTP - 14th Hole Div 1 - Gloria Campbell, Div 2 - Noela McMurray.

Tuesday 24th September

Today many of our ladies played at Moss Vale Golf Club in their Charity Day.
A small field played at Bowral and some great scores were recorded. Unfortunately there was no handicapping on the event.
The Winner with a lovely score of 48 points was Uschi Eriksson. I can vouch that Uschi only took the 2 putt rule on the 5th hole. She played great golf. Her partner Pam Barker was runner up with 41 points.
There was no Pro Pin due to the size of the field so next Tuesday will carry the jackpot from the 10th September.

This week we have welcomed many visitors to the Highlands from clubs in the ACT and further afield in NSW. A contingent of 18 ladies came from Belmont (Newcastle) and 8 from Wyong. Delightful ladies to play with.

I was fortunate enough to play with 2 ladies - one on a handicap of 1 and the other 4. I think I spent too much time watching them play and not enough on my game.

Monday was a stroke day at Bowral Golf Club with 115 ladies playing. Thank you to Damian and his staff for presenting the course in a great condition. Slick greens which fooled many of the players. Anne Geddes was nett runner up Div 2 and Bev Kemp Clayton was gross 3rd Div 3 today.
Tuesday we played Moss Vale. A totally different set up to our course. Cored green and wet conditions.
Wednesday the foursomes were played at Highlands. Again cored greens and a windy day.
Tuesday night was the Annual Dinner held at Moss Vale. Many trophies were awarded but none came our way.
Jill Scott and Leonie Carroll won an award at Highlands. The raffle was not won by Pam Barker but....... at Highlands on Tuesday Pam & her partner Jill Levi from Nowra won the lucky card prize which was a game for 2 at Royal Canberra and a game for 4 at Highlands.
Next year this tournament will be played in the ACT and will return to the Sth Highlands in about 5 years.

Hastings & Meg Clarke Trophy

Today Anne Vitou and Pam Barker refereed the final of the Hastings & Meg Clarke Knock Out competition.

A hard fought match but Beverley Kemp Clayton prevailed over Jan Ferguson. The result was 4 / 2 to Beverley.
Well done Beverley.

Today we played one of the prestige events on the ladies calender, The Foursomes Championships.

tuesday 10th September - Stableford

The winner of tuesdays stableford event was Penny McKenna with 35 points. Well done Penny.
It was also good to see the 10 hole competition ladies join the main field and star in the ball rundown.
Balls to 32 popints - Pat Donoghue, Di Mellen, Anne Spiden, Jane Clifford, Uschi Eriksson & Rosemary Downing.
The final of the Challenge Bowl was also played on Tuesday. Pam Barker was the winner.

Next Thursday - Final Round Foursomes

Next Thursday - the Foursomes Final Round. The presentation of the Foursomes Trophies will be done on the day.

Remember if your were an odd number last week you are an even number this week.
In the spirit of the event it is nice to be awarded your trophy on the day.

If there is a tie for the Championships a play off will take place on the day.
Ties for other divisions will be by the GA Count Back method.

Play well ladies - no sorries - have a great day.

A field of 36 players contested Round 1 of the Foursomes Championships.
In conjunction with the event was a Nett Event.

The ladies General Meeting is on 3rd October. If unable to attend please place your name on the apologies list.
