Hello Everyone or the 3 who may be reading this!

What a hectic few days I have had - It has been great to have my daughter Deb and grandson down from Qld with us for past 12 days.  They fly home early Monday morning after we celebrate an early family Christmas Dinner together on Sunday.  We love Christmas time and though this year is our first without our beautiful Sophie, we have made the most of our time together.

Please enjoy your time with family and friends and hug them tight!

I hear that the "Free Christmas Drinks" was a very successful event on Friday night - I would have been there too, if we had not a prior family dinner engagement!  

Now to Golf.............THURSDAY COMP.  - 13 ladies played a Stableford round and Barbara Clayton was the winner with 36 points on h'cap of 26. Irene Gilbert had 35 on 22 h'cap and Uschi Eriksson with 34 on h'cap of 37.  WELL DONE, GIRLS!

During the Presentations Penny McKenna unveiled  her collage of photographs from 2009 - 2013.  It is now hanging in the Locker Room for you to peruse.  We have placed the previous frame of photos above this current collection.

We congratulate Penny on her attention to detail and the enthusiasm she has shown to her position on our Committee as our MLO (Media Liaison Officer).

I also announced some changes in the 2013 fixtures book dates:- NYEve has changed from Stableford to SOCIAL play - Also Thurs 2nd Jan becomes SOCIAL Play and Sat 4th Jan is Canadian Foursomes.

PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE NEW 2014 FIXTURES BOOK IS AVAILABLE FROM THE CLUB.  PLEASE PICK UP YOUR COPY WHEN NEXT IN TOWN!

I wish President Anne, all Committee members and all the golfers and members, the wonderful Staff and Board, my very Best Wishes for this 2013 CHRISTMAS SEASON.

Good Afternoon, Ladies.

Today's STROKE Game was the last in our Saturday Competition for 2013.

The results today decided who will be the Winner of the beautiful Chrystal Trophy which was donated by Noela and Tom McMurray in 2010. 

This Trophy winner will be announced on Opening Day on Thursday, 6th February, together with the Winners of the Birdies and Gobblers for 2013.

6 Ladies commenced but unfortunately, Stephne had to retire, NCR - Hope you get well soon, Steph., and the Winner on c/b was Judy Windybank with Gross 95, h.cap 23, nett 74 - Runner Up was Pam Barker with Gross 95, h'cap 21, Nett 74 on c/b to 3rd placegetter, Noela McMurray with Gross 105, h,cap 31, Nett 74. 
They received 3 points, 2 and 1 respectively.  The Winner of the Count the Putts was Helen Chadwick on 30.

The girls shared a bottle of 
Champagne to celebrate the end of the official part of our Sat. comp. Thanks Pam!!


I guess everyone is out busy doing their Christmas shopping, ordering hams, turkey and Pork and of course the fresh Seafood.  Whatever you are doing, enjoy every moment of this special time.

Hello Ladies,

23 Ladies played in a Stableford Comp today.
  
PAM BARKER on a h'cap of 22 was the winner with a fine 37 points. With this win Pam has dropped down to 21.1 h'cap - back to great form in only several weeks.
Well done!
Pam won on a c/b to ROSEMARY DOWNING on a h'cap of 33 and received a ball for her good play - Balls also to STEPHNE WHITEWAY (22) 36 points, USCHI ERIKSSON (37) 35 points, ANNE GEDDES on (22) 35 points and MAGGIE McKENZIE (21) 34 points.

The PRO-PIN was won by JENNY GRANT ($21). Good one!

One which will interest most members is the GolfNSW SUMMER MEETING which is played in the Highlands from Monday 3rd, March to Thursday, 6th March, 2014.
You may enter online - ENTRIES CLOSE ON 14TH FEBRUARY, 2014. 


Another Invite comes from Killara Golf Club for Monday, 10th March, 2014.

Hello Girls,

I have both Saturday's and today's Results for you -

SAT 7th Dec.  4 girls played a Stroke Round with 3 gaining points towards our Chrystal Trophy.  Congrats to Stephne Whiteway who  won with Gross 92 on h'cap of 22 - 2 Balls. Runner up was Jenny Grant with Gross of 99 on h'cap of 29 and Pam Barker with Gross of 94 on h'cap of 22 -They received 3, 2 & 1 point respectively.  Noela McMurray was the fourth player. Well done girls.

TUES 10TH DEC.  18 girls played a Stableford round in nice weather on our beautiful course.  The winner was Shirley Brereton with 38 points on h'cap of 41 received 2 balls.  Jenny Grant, Jan Ferguson and Jill Scott also received a ball each with scores of 37, 36, and 35. Good,  steady scores there girls.

A reminder that a Ball comp will be played on Tuesdays & Thursdays until Open Day on 6th February - except where indicated otherwise in your Fixtures book - but check your computer for any changes.

Enjoy this lead up time to Christmas with shopping, meeting family and friends and lets remember those less fortunate too.

CLOSING DAY...CHRISTMAS CHEER.... PRESENTATIONS AND GREAT ENTERTAINMENT!

I hope that everyone enjoyed their golf, delicious Lunch and wonderful productions of the Academy Awards and more, as much as I did.

So much fun and so many people to thank!  Firstly, I do thank on behalf of all the committee and lady members, our hard working President, Anne Keys (or Queen Anne, as she now wishes to be addressed!)

We thank Sandy Short for the Production, Nigella Anne Geddes, I dream Uschi (who has a lovely voice) , Susan Tucan Bird Olson, Jill stagehand and part time pilot Scott, ring in winner of golden awards, Leonie Carroll (just born to the stage)
and SPECIAL THANKS TO SUZIE CRAWFORD for the beautiful costumes supplied.
(I noticed our hard working staff members took a little break and watched the show from the sidelines and enjoyed the fun too.)

Rob and Nedene served a delicious meal of turkey and ham and the stuffing was so tasty which was followed by a traditional Plum Pudding with Brandy Sauce, hard cream and icecream all made by the Lady Golf Chef, Pam Barker.  Thank you Pam for being so generous with your time and cooking.

Oh, I nearly forgot, besides all the above fun, there was a 16 Hole Golf Comp and the winning Team was SALLY KNACKSTEDT, PENNY MCKENNA & SUZI CRAWFORD on a c/b with 42 points to Runners Up SUE OLSON, TRISH BOYD & CATHY MAULE.
Balls went to  HELEN CHADWICK, MARG DAWKINS, STEPHNE WHITEWAY & WENDY BURKE Teams.
Winner of Straightest Drive on 1st Hole .............Jan Ferguson
NTP on 6th Hole not won so card drawn ...winner Jane Clifford
Drive & Pitch on 15th winner.......was Jane Clifford!

Christmas came early to one of our newest Lady members when she won the PRO PIN onthe 14th Hole - a JACKPOT OF $177.00

CONGRATULATIONS AND THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO JOINED IN THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS TOO!  Our Staffer, Matthew judged the winners of the Best Dressed Team, which we all agreed with, - THE TEAM of Stephne, Jill and Wendy Pope looked great.

Today ended a great year in achievements in the golfing arena and the friendship shared by our members. A Ball Golf comps will continue until Opening Day on Thursday, 6th FEB, 2014. so please enter your names in the computer when the urge comes!

Until then, I wish you all a very Happy Christmas and Good Golfing in the New Year.

Hi Ladies,

Another busy day for everyone. - Two more, even busier days,  for your committee for Wed & Thursday.

THE COLIN STAMM SALVER was played in a wonderful spirit and all seemed to enjoy the excitement of the Match Play Competition.

I would like to thank our BOWRAL girls for trying hard and playing well.
The WINNING TEAM FOR 2013 was the HIGHLANDS GOLF CLUB with a score of 16 points, BOWRAL was Runner up with 13 points and MossVale received 7 points.


The Highlands will be the HOST Club in 2014.

STABLEFORD EVENT played after Match Players Tee off was well attended with 18 players in this Comp.

Jennifer Grant with h'cap of 30 won with a great 38 points.  Well done, Jenny.
Uschi Eriksson continues her good record of bei ng Runner Up on 38 h'cap with 32 good points.  a ball also went to Jan Ferguson and Sue Olson with scores of 31 poin ts.  (Sorry, Robyn Mc you did miss out with 30 points - better luck next time!)

PRO-PIN - NOT WON.  -  $18 jackpots to Tues. 10th Dec.

CHRISTMAS CHEER/CLOSING DAY IS ON THIS THURSDAY!! YAHOO, THEN WE CAN RELAX A BIT!

Remember to pay and pick up your Cards from the Pro Shop.  SHOTGUN START 8.30 for 9.00am.  -  Omit Holes 8 & 9.  Only Best Score on each hole and watch out for Pin prizes - all information is on your card - so please read them out to your team before you commence play.

Christmas theme is encouraged and President is awarding prize for the Best 
Team. - 

P.S. - Some "secret women's business" has been seen around the premises in the last week or so - I believe "all will be revealed" on Thursday........
