  Berrima District has a new Champion of Champions!
Debbie Finlayson (left) from Highlands, defeated defending champion Jocelyn McKay (Moss Vale) for the title this year, with a great score of 82 gross. 
Congratulations Debbie!
 

Tuesday Golf:
40 players turned out for the 4BBB stableford event in gorgeous weather.
An amazing round from Carole Turpie, ably assisted by Leonie Carole saw them winners with 47 points!!
Runners up Robyn McGinness and Noela McMurray had 41 pts (c/b).
NTP 2nd shot on 12th was Sue Olsen, and Chris Hill won the Pro-Pin ($30).
 
Thursday Golf:
A smaller field of 21 today as quite a few ladies were at Tully Park for the CSGA Closing Day…first news through reads that Jill Scott was the winner of Division 1 NTP. Well Done Jill.
Winners at Bowral were Mardi Svensson (35pts) from Anne Keys (34pts) in Division 1, and Jane Clifford (33) from Fran White (31) in Division 2.
Pro-pin winner and Drive and Pitch winner on the 12th was Barbara Clayton!

Legacy Day Saturday 21st November 

Space is still available if any players still wish to join this 'fun'draising day for the great cause of Legacy. Par Event:
With the GUR areas removed and tees off the plates, it was a real challenge today for 29 players !
Maybe it was made up for in a small way by the proshop generously awarding prizes across three divisions (should really have been two!!)

Saturday Golf:
A small field, including one visitor from Terrigal GC played a Stroke round on Saturday. Pam Barker 93/74 was the winner from Andrea Tomlin 108/77. Third place and NTP was Judy Windybank.
 
Tuesday 10th November:
Due to a Veterans tournament scheduled in the morning, our women’s competition was a late start. Pam Barker continued her winning way with 34 points, from Cathy Maule (32) and Uschi Eriksson (31).The handicapper has caught up with her though, now that we are playing off the normal tees!

I would really like to encourage as many players as possible to enjoy camaraderie with our fellow Highlands golfers. It is the one chance of the year to celebrate together in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.

2016 Calendar:
 
Programming for next year’s events is well under way. We will be meeting with the Men’s captain and Kevin Kenny very soon to finalise the calendar prior to printing the booklets.
 
If anyone would like to view/contribute to the events for 2016, please contact me directly. I will also be available after golf on Thursday to explain/ answer questions or take suggestions for types of events you might like to play next year!

No Golf Thursday…!
Both Bowral and Canberra players were victims of the rain today.
 
The Canberra Shield Team who travelled to Canberra yesterday, and who were all set for a big effort at Murrumbidgee Course today, were sent home after an hour of decision-making on the waterlogged course…the CSGA hope to reschedule the tournament at a later date  TBA.

What a fun day this turned out to be! 
The rain held off enough for us to stay dry, and some excellent scores were posted.
A field of 70 including 12 visitors from Waratah, Charlestown and Wagga Wagga Clubs played our 4Ball Irish (Odds/Evens) game over 16 holes.

Our winners of 4 tickets to the BGC Jazz Sunday on 6th December (Kindly donated by BGC!) were : 
​Blandina and Geoff Meere, Jan Ferguson and Peter Dunn (97 pts). Well Done!

Runners Up: (4 Bottles of wine donated by Ray Clayton)
Bruce Frankland, Ray Smee, Alan Lindsay and Gloria Campbell (92pts).

Many players entered into the racing spirit with hats, (photos will be featured on the 'social blog' so I won't double up here) and a few members who won 'big' were seen to be also 'spending big' at the bar !
