6 Ladies played today in beautiful sunny weather.
The winner was Jan Southon with 31 points and Heleln Martin won NTP - 14th hole.
A new innovation started today. A pro NTP for all players on 14th Hole. Pay $3 at the pro shop for your chance to win the pool in the form of a voucher. Today pool was $102. Shame the group I played with all went off the back of the green. We left the kitty for the men to fight over.

Sunday is Round 1 of the Mixed Foursomes Championships - play well ladies.

Thank yuo to all the ladies who have pledged money for the new flags. As Captain David has written all flags were sold out in 2 days. Lets get the money in to the office asap and Damian can order the flags.

Firstly news - In the pro shop you will notice an honesty box.
At the recent Match & Greens Meeting it was decided to implement a suggestion made in April 2009 to have an honesty box for NON Competition rounds of golf.
If you are going out to play a few holes or the whole 18 holes I would ask you to consider putting a gold coin in the box. The money raised will be used to purchase new inserts for the holes on the greens. The cost estimate is $600.
Thank you to all the members who have pledged to purchase a flag. Currently we have 34 names from the Ladies & the Members. The money will be collected soon and Damian will put the order in to the supplier. Remember if you do NOT want your name embroidered on the flag please make a note beside your name on the list and your flag will be tagged - Donated by a Member.

Bronze Shield Pennant Results
Friday our team travelled to Goulburn to compete against Murrumbidgee Country Club. We were the victors 3 / 2.  The result all hung on the last group in being Helen Chadwick. Helen won her match on the 18th hole. Well done ladies.
We have 3 weeks off and then travel to Queanbeyan. To view the results and the standings of the pennant results go to the CSGA website.
In pool "B" we are currently leading on games points with 8 points and leading on match points with 4. Keep up the good work team.

Tomorrow is our Annual Invitation Day. Cost of the day is $12 per player and lunch your own cost at the bar. I have asked for a restricted menu to assist in having lunch served easily. The card players will also be in the club.
Check at the pro shop in the morning to see if I have managed to get pre order forms so you can order lunch before you tee off. Make sure you put your tee time on the order form to assist the kitchen.

Congratulations to Leonie Carroll for a great win today.
We should have recruited her for the Shield games at Goulburn.
The 12 ladies that travelled to Goulburn today put up a brave challenge but could not match for force of a rejuvenated Goulburn Team.
We lost - Goulburn 8 - Bowral 4.
We do have another match in Spring on home turf and can again regain the shield. Shall we say Goulburn have the Shield "on loan".
Friday is the 2nd pennant match and being played at Goulburn we know what to expect. I have just been advised that carts will not be available due to the wet course.
Thursday is Invitation Day - Weather forecast is looking good lets hope the ground is dry enough for carts.
Thursday 29 March is Round 2 of our Medals. The draw has been done and is on the website. It is not open and if you require any changes please ring ME.

Ladies,
I have been advised this evening that there will be NO CARTS on Thursday. Please be sympathetic for the green staff they are trying so hard to get the course back on track. The greens renovations which were to be done last Monday have been deferred until April.
The men were not allowed carts today (Wednesday).
If you come across an area on the fairway that has been roped off - this means that if your ball is in this area please take your buggy down the side of the fairway, leave it on the side and walk across. The rope is there to stop you tramping across the wet areas and doing more damage.
Its a hard call but be understaning of our current situation.
