TULIP TIME IN BOWRAL

How beautiful are the Tulips, together with the blossoming trees. Our course is looking great, another mow and the greens will be perfect, bit hairy yesterday, but still some good scores.

Congratulations to Helen Egan net 73, 2nd Suzanne Ayre, 3rd Jane Clifford 74. All 3 have qualified for the final of the Diabetes Trophy at Federal on CSGA Open Day 15 February 2024.

SPRING CEANING

With Springtime in full swing, it's time to give your Clubs & Bag a clean, check the grips, have a lesson if there is problem with your game. Then you are ready for the Championships in October.
The Suggestion Box has raised some good ideas, which the Committee have discussed & will implement now & next year:
1. More fun games on Tuesdays.
2. Presentations/ Question time
3. Trophies Presented by previous year winner.
4. 4BBB events stand alone.

It's wonderful to see Women members embracing the Miscore app and using their phones, but if this is not for you, cards will always be available.

Congratulations to Jane Whittaker winning The Rosevale Plate, after a hard final with Meeghan Bourne. Well done.

Both Trophies and prizes shall be presented at the end of year Presentations.

Another sunny day for the final round of the Foursomes Championships.

All the results were very close. Thank you to all for entering and making it such a great competition.
Daily Winners. Julia Skamperle & Maggie McKenzie 73 net. r/up Leonie Carroll & Ellen Goodwin 74.5 net. Also winning the 2nd shot NTP on 14th. Leonie holed the ball for 2 from 40 m out. Amazing shot.

SPRINGTIME GOLF

It was a glorious day for the first round of The Foursomes Championship. Congratulations to the daily winners Sophia Rankine & Barb Clayton net. 73. The seeded draw for Thursday is on the booking site and you will see the lowest scorers are last out. Hopefully you will all stay to cheer the winners in from the balcony, followed by presentations. Divisions for the Championships are calculated on the lowest handicap of the two players , not added and divided.
REMEMBER: When teeing off, if you teed off odds last week you tee of evens this week.Good Luck all.
