Rain, rain and more rain.
The Unity Cup has been deferred until Tuesday 9th July. If you were on the time sheet and cannot play the new date please let me know.
Moss Vale will keep the original time sheet in place with any alterations.

Yesterday Noela and I went to the CSGA Captain's meeting at Goulburn.
This meeting sets out the plans for the next year in the CSGA calender.
We have nominated a pennant team for the Bronze Shield Division.
The annual CSGA Tournament this year is being held at three of the Highland Course from Monday 16th September to Wednesday 18th September.
The format is Monday - Stroke at Bowral, Tuesday - stroke at Moss Vale and Wednesday - Foursomes at Highlands.
They are introducing an encouragement prize each day for the best score from the hosting club by their member.
The CSGA Annual General Meeting will be held at Bowral Golf Club on the Monday afternoon and the Annual Dinner and Presentation of Trophies is being held at Moss Vale on the Tuesday night.
I encourage all the lady members to take part in this tournament. You may only like to play the foursomes.
The Monday at Bowral will bring good revenue to our club as they are hopeful of attracting over 100 entries.
Getting back to the weather it does not look too good for the week. Carts may be a problem on Thursday but we will wait and see.

Keep dry and we hope tp play at the end of the week.

Nine ladies started the field today.We thought we would miss the rain but it was not to be.
Helen Chadwick had a  lovely score of 37 points which included 2 gobblers(holes 10 & 11).
Faye Frith was runner up and the NTP was not won.

The rules enquiry - the ball hitting the pin from off the green does not incur a penalty. Different story if you were on the green.

Tuesday- Moss Vale. If the weather is inclement please check with the MV Pro Shop. I would think that provided the course is open the competition will go on.
Play your best - and if it is not good enough to win it doesn't matter. It is a team event and we are all there to help one another.

A reminder that Tuesday we are playing the Unity Cup against Moss Vale at Moss Vale. Refer to Tuesday's blog for the team. If you have a pink Bowral shirt please wear it.
CHARITY DAY :  The starters sheet is on the Notice board outside the Ladies Locker Room. Please add your names/s - teams of 4. It you do not have a team put your name down and someone will join you. Cost of the day is $40 - golf and lunch. Lunch only $30.
Only 2 weeks to the Barbara McCarthy & Rosevale plate qualifying rounds. Remember to put your names down on the computer - especially the  3rd division ladies.

Ladies before I report on todays event please refer to the booking sheet for the Medal Round on Thursday as there have been some changes to tee times to accomodate extra players.

Todays event was Par. A good field of 25 (18hole) and 6 (13 hole) players and about 30 plus players from Cronulla Golf Club on the course. Great to see the course being used to it's full extent.

Thank you to the Ladies Committee Members for running todays event in my absence.

This Thursday the events are: Marjorie Walker Memorial Rose Bowl for Division 2 players only and Hasting & Meg Clarke qualifying round with the top 8 nett winners progressing to Match Play.
Obviously no one wants to start on the 10th Hole.
We will aim to have the presentation ASAP but of course need to wait for the whole field to finish before we can finalise the events.
In the case of the Marjorie Walker event if there is a tie for 1st place a four hole play of is required. If you come in with a good score DO NOT go home incase you are required to go out and play again.

Today we had a field of 8 players. We welcomed Margaret Howritz a visior from Moss Vale Club.

Had Margaret been able to compete in the Pro Pin she could have won it also. Very close to the pin. Well done Margaret.

Thursday - 4th July - Division 3 will be competing for a new trophy - The Rosevale Plate. This trophy is specifically designed to encourage to 13Hole ladies to participate in the event. The top 8 players from Division 3 will play a series of match play knockout rounds. I encourage you all to take part. Match play is played with a handicap differential and therefore it is possible for the long markers to win the event. If you require further information please call me.

Todays  winners and the runners up will progress to the CSGA district final of the 4BBB Classic at Yowani Golf Club on 29th August.

This will be my last blog as health reasons make it impossible for me to continue as Captain.  I would like to thank the present committee and previous committees that I have had the pleasure of working with over the past 4 years and 8 months for their support and friendship. Also many thanks to all the ladies I have enjoyed playing golf with on Tuesdays and Thursdays. A special thank you to Pam Barker for taking over as Captain until October.
                

More sunshine again today I hope it lasts for the 4BBB on Thursday.
