They may NOT be the same as the notice board. I have received comments about why are we hitting from the mens tee on the 14th tee. This is a trial only. The grounds staff cannot mow a fairway towards the green from the other tee across the hazard. Also there is no fairway watering system in that area. If you are not happy with this trial please let ME know then I can do something about it. Whilst this trial is in operation please adhere to the instructions on the wire screen i.e. After you have putted out stand back and call the next group up. Proceed to the 15th tee once they have hit. Please remember at the 15th tee to park your buggy as close as possible to the Lake Katekar sign or take it up to the wire netting screen and collect it on the way back. Ladies Charity Bridge Day is tomorrow - I trust all your cards fall in the right order. Well done to the organisers and have a great day. Congratulations to Wendy Pope the winner of todays event with a score of 34 points. Robyn McGinnes was runner up with 33 points.
Remember ladies to bring extra money on Thursday for your entry into the Golf NSW 3BBB v Par event. The more paid up entries the more teams we can send to the District Finals. The cost is $15 per team - i.e. $5 each player. You cannot have half the team pay. It's all in or none in. There are a few birthday girls this week. Happy birthday to you all Ladies it has been brought to my attention that an error has occurred in the results for Division 2 Medal on Thursday.
Firstly my apologies to the 2 ladies concerned. A medal cannot be awarded on a countback. Both ladies with the tied score of nett 75 will play off at the next medal round in July. As per the Conditions of Play displayed in the locker room if one of these ladies does not play then the medal is awarded to the other. If neither plays NO medal is awarded for that round. - again my sincere apologies. A cold miserable day - that sums it up.
A great field of 11 ladies played a stableford round and the winner with a score of 34 points was : Alexandra Dowling. Runner Up - Sue Olson with 33 points. Well done ladies. NTP was not won. Remember next Thursday - 3BBB v Par - Golf NSW event. The time sheet was transferred from one of our wet days. Please check that all your team are still available. The extra cost is $15 per team . This money goes to GolfNSW to help pay for the District and State Finals. It you are not on the sheet and wish to play please enter. We will try to find you a partner but remember it is only the best score of the 3 players that counts. Two players could come in with a good score. Thirty three ladies played today. The competition was the 5th GNSW & Club Medal, Round 2 McLeish Cup, CSGA District Brooch & Vets Country Championships. Some of the results from these events will not be released until later in the year. Anne Vitou and I had a difficult task with the Vets events as some went to count backs and even after all the holes scores were even.

This must be paid before you hit off so please bring extra money with you. This event was not included in the extra money we collected at the beginning of the year. If you do not want to qualify please mark your card NTQ. The number of teams entering will depend on the number of teams we are able to send to the District Play off. The more the better. The Barbara McCarthy event to be played on Thursday 5th July is a stableford round NOT STROKE. My apologies. RULES : Do you know what to do if your ball is in a garden bed? There are a couple of garden beds on our course that are designated by BLUE pegs. Relief may be otained from these areas within one club length of the nearest point of relief not nearer the hole. All other garden beds are NOT garden beds, they are part of the course and you play as it lies or if unplayable take a penalty according to the rules. PRO PIN: This is a competition run by the club for club members and is not part of the ladies competition. Therefore if you NCR or are disqualified this does not preclude you from winning the pin. This decision was made by the club officials and ratified at Match & Greens meeting this evening. PRACTICE AREA - 10thTEE - This will be marked this week for players starting their competition from the 10th tee. UNMARKED HAZARDS: There has been some discussions between players regarding unmarked hazards on our course. This was discussed at Match & Greens this evening and a policy will be issued by the Captain this week but from what I understand is that if the hazard is not marked and there is water present it should be treated as casual water. If this changes I will keep you posted. Good golfing over the coming weeks and lets hope this fine weather continues. Todays event was a stableford with a twist - a 2 person multiplier.
The winners with a score of 58 points were: Helen Chadwick & Stephne Whiteway. Balls went to: Julie Robson & Jenny Ogg - 57 points Sue Olson & Bev Kemp Clayton - 54 points and Robyn McGinnes & Carole Turpie - 49 points. Ladies I must remind you that your score cards MUST be signed by a player and the marker. It's a shame when the committee has to disqualify players. Last week Kevin Burke and I interviewed 2 new members - Peter & Elaine Woodger. They are currently members of Bankstown & Batemans Bay Golf Clubs. Elaine indicated that she will probably start with the Sunday Medleys. If you see their names on the sheet please make them welcome to your club now their club. Charity Day: The starters sheet is on the white notice board outside the ladies locker room. Form your team and come and enjoy the day. It is a shot gun start. Two Tee Start - Don't forget to look at the 10th tee when booking your game of golf. You could get an earlier time slot. The 2 tee start will only apply on Thursdays and will be available on non trophy rounds. Unity Cup - Bowral Ladies v Moss Vale Ladies - 4BBB v Par - Thursday 12th July is the date for this event. Please put your name on the sign up sheet in the locker room. We are dependant on the number of players that come from Moss Vale before we can nominate our team BUT everyone will get a game. Sign up NOW. It was good to see President Bernadette back today. We hope to see her more often. Five ladies braved the wet weather to play today.
The winner of the stroke round was Helen Chadwick (32) 75 c/b from Sue Olson (30) also 75 Pam Barker won the putting competition with 29 putts. At the time of leaving the club Jan Southon was on the Pro Pin. Lets hope the men in the afternoon field leave her there. Thursday 21 June - Medal Round. If you are not already on the time sheet, the Division 1 & 3 are hitting off the 10th tee and Division 2 from the 1st Tee. Ladies, Firstly let me clarify the situation today with the Pro Pin.
After consultation with the Club and the ladies committee we have established that the Pro Pin is a competition run by the club for club members and is NOT associated with the ladies competition. The club will be issuing conditions of play for the Pro Pin. The result of this means that Marcia Jackson, although an NCR on the day, is eligible to win the Pro Pin but not eligible to win any competition associated with the ladies event of the day. Marcia we will present your voucher for $54 to you next Thursday. Congratulations. Todays Event: The major event of the day was the Marjorie Walker Memorial Rose Bowl for Division 2 players.
