PRESENTATIONS , CLOSING DAY

A great day was had by all at Moss Vale on Tuesday, the course was great, golf, lunch and company even better. Well done to our Champions Julia Skamperle & Pam Barker, unfortunately they lost to Chris Irish & Meg Grady Moss Vale. Next year Bowral will host the Day on 19 November 2024.

What a great decision by all who turned up to play on Thursday, not to play in the rain. Presentations continued as planned after lunch enjoyed by many. Thank you to those who attend and made it an enjoyable afternoon.

We had some Stars on Legacy Day. I had the pleasure of playing with Country members Lyn Solness, Colin Weatherby & John Oakes. Lyn played beautifully winning the Michael Fitzgerald Trophy 42 pts. Also, Sharon Rowe & Barb Mead won the 2 BBB Wyndham Trophy 47 pts. Congratulations.

CLOSING DAY DECEMBER 7th. Names required by Friday 1 December on sing up sheet in locker room for golf & lunch.

CANCER COUNCIL'S THE LONGEST DAY CHALLLENGE Monday 11 December, no green fees $45 one off cart hire, see Mat in Pro Shop for further details.

CAPTAIN V. CAPTAIN, 3 Person Ambrose Sunday 17th December & Christmas Cheer. Get your Womens Team in we need to give the men a challenge.

I shall remain Captain, until such time as a new committee is elected.

PRESENTATIONS & CLOSING DAY

Thursday 23 Nov. is our annual Presentation Day. 3 BBB Stableford 8.30 am shotgun start. This year the previous year's winners of Trophies will be requested to present the trophy to this year's winner. An email will be sent to all of last year's winners as a reminder.
Thursday 7 December Closing Day. 8.30 am mini shotgun start. 3 Peron Ambrose. Please enter your teams on the sign-up sheet for golf & lunch $42.50. Lunch only $25 on separate sheet. Entries close Friday 1 December, when the draw shall be placed on Miclub. Teams are encouraged to dress up, but you must play in your costume to be eligible for the prize. Remember if you pull out after 1 Dec, you will be charged for your lunch.
The Christmas raffle tickets will be available soon $2 each or 3 for $5 or 7 for $10. Sharon Rowe & Pat Donoghue are in charge of the raffle. Donations will be gratefully accepted, just pop in the baskets provided in the Locker room. Pam Barker has already made her famous Christmas Pudding to be raffled.
The Members Christmas Cheer Day Captain v Captain is now on Sunday 17 December, 8.30 am shotgun start. So, ladies enter your names in teams of 3, we want to give the men a challenge, then all enjoy Christmas drinks after.

BOWRAL /GOULBURN SHIELD

A lovely day was had by all as 8 teams battled for the Bowral /Goulburn Shield. Goulburn won 7 1/2 Bowral 1 1/2. Our stars were Jane Clifford 1 up on 18th & Virginia Wozniak square. Well done all. Hopefully we can win the Shield back in 2024 at Bowral.
Thursday, we played the Medal of Medals. Congratulations to Sue de Cseuz net 71, Sue wins the Silver Medal. Sue also won the Prosper Ellis Shield. NTP 12 Virginia. Pro Pin Julia.

Great to see so many participating in the Champions of Champions /Christmas Cheer at Moss Vale on Tuesday 21 November. Entries close on Sunday. still time to pop your name down. I will be submitting entries on Sunday evening. Payment must be made prior to the day, understandably to ensure lunch numbers are paid for. Could you please Direct Debit $40 Lunch & Golf or Golf only $20 into the following a/c.

It's time to start thinking about donating to our Christmas Hamper. Please leave any donations on the table in the Locker room in the Baskets. Any donations are greatly appreciated, and the monies raised are used for Travel expenses for Pennants now $40 per car.

CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS & CHRISTMAS CHEER

Although we are approaching the end of the 2023 programme, there are still some very important events to play.

1. MEDAL OF MEDALS & PROSPER ELLIS SHILED
Thursday 9th November. Stroke.
2. BOWRAL / GOULBURN SHIELD AT GOULBURN MATCH PLAY. Friday 10th Nov.
Due to a cancellation, there is still a spot available. Please call me if your available to play. The more teams the better chance we have of bringing the Shield back to Bowral.
3. LEGACY DAY SATURDAY 18th Nov. Various Stableford events will be announced on the day by Legacy.
Please try to support this very important Charity.
4. CHRISTMAS CHEER & CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS AT MOSS VALE TUESDAY 21 NOVEMBER.
Come along to cheer the Champion in, we have Julia Skamperle Div 1. & Pam Barker Div 2 contesting this event. The Champions play 18 holes stroke , whilst others play 15 holes Stableford. See Notice Board for further information and enter your name on the sheet.
5. ANNUAL MEETING & 3BBB STABLEFORD mini-shotgun start. Thurs 23 Nov. 32 names entered already let's try for 50.
If unable to attend the meeting, there is an apology sheet in the Locker room.
Plenty of challenging golf ahead.
