THE GOLF RESULTS
I hope you are having better luck understanding the weather than I am. No golf again on Tuesday 15th. Then the afternoon storm on Wednesday was threatening our chance of golf on Thursday until.............. yes sunshine!!
Thursday 18th. As always there were a few of us who headed out no matter how boggy the course! In total 13 women took on the course. In most cases the course won!
However, we did have a few who went out and came in victorious!
Sophie Rankine was keen to show her playing partners how to play and started the round with a BIRDIE on the 1st hole and then decided to throw another one in for good measure on the 16th hole. Well done Sophie and a good win with 36 points.
Chris Levy came in 2nd with a very nice score of 33 points. Chris also took out the Nearest the Pin on the 12th.
Helen Egan took out 3rd spot with a score of 30 points. Helen also won the Pro-Pin.
It was great coming into the Club House after the game and seeing a number of you there for lunch. Thank you for making the effort, it is so important we all stay in touch and continue to enjoy each other's company no matter what the weather or course conditions.
Friday 19th, out of a total field of 19 only 4 were women. Some of just never learn!
Helen Egan was 1st in the women's group with 15 points.
Saturday 20th was the Men's Monthly Medal round so while the field was big, there were only 9 women who played in the daily competition. A bit of a mix up meant that the women actually played a stroke round today.
Maggie McKenzie came in 1st with a very respectable score of Nett 73. The women just keep getting BIRDIES! Maggie got hers on the 12th hole.
Ellen Neale came in 2nd with a Nett score of 77.
Lyn Soleness came in 3rd on a count back with a Nett score of 79 and a BIRDIE for Lyn on the 15th hole.
THE LIFESTYLE CUP - Saturday 20th
A very big CONGRATULATIONS to Emma who came in the winner. It was a closely contested game and we are all very proud of you Emma!
The Cup will be presented to Emma on our Opening Day.
Tuesday 23rd
How wonderful it was to look at the Time Sheet and see so many names!
We had a field of 27 today and thankfully the weather was good.
Cathy Shugg came in 1st with a great score of 38. With a BIRDIE on the 1st Hole and another on the 12th, Cathy deserved the win.
Katrina Onishi was a very close 2nd with 37 points. Katrina also won the Pro-pin.
It seems our Sophie keeps managing to get her name in lights for every competition she plays in. Sophie Rankine won the NTP on the 12th.
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE WINNERS!
