The final of this year's Jubilee Foursomes Shield was played in great spirit yesterday. While the official presentation will be made later in the year, here is a sneak preview of the results.

There will be the normal event of the day but the leading team that has paid its $5 pp entry fee will have results sent off to Golf NSW. Most will have paid this fee already, but if not Darryl will collect it on Thursday. I know that it is hard to keep track of your bookings when the club computer is down so I have attached a copy of the starting time sheet as it currently stands. Vice Captain Bowral Open Championship (Thursday 24 May) 36 players including 15 visitors from eight other clubs - Capital, Murrumbidgee, Queanbeyan, Gold Creek, Royal Canberra, Goulburn, Moss Vale and Highlands. Thanks to President Pam and the Committee for all their hard work. The green staff had the course in perfect condition (fast greens and all) and the catering staff made sure the lunch ran smoothly. Darryl and Stuart in the proshop were both a great help while special thanks are due to Don Barker our official starter for the day. Many of the ladies were smiling after the successful and popular Champagne and Chocolates raffle. Dad's Army were hard at work so there was plenty of smoke on a few of the holes but the end result looks great as ever. Winners today were Jan Ferguson (25) & Anne Vitou (36) with +4 from runners up Helen Martin (13) & Blandina Meere (40) with +3. Todays event was the qualifying round for the Golf NSW event so Jan and Anne will now go on to the CSGA district final to be played at Federal Golf Club on 23 August. D & P 4th Hole - Julie Jeffery Pro-pin ($50) was not won so will jackpot to Thursday 31 May. Single Stableford (Tuesday 15 May) Winner Pat Donohue (34) with 34 points. Runner up was Jenny Ogg (25) 32 points. D & P 12th - Jenny Ogg Pro-pin ($20) was not won and will jackpot to Tuesday 22 May. Bowral success at Yowani Open Day Pam Barker and Helen Chadwick travelled to Canberra on Thursday to represent us at the Yowani Open Day. Pam was very successful winning the Super Vet competition and also winning Division 1 nett with a score of 75. Did you manage to bring your coloured ball all the way home? Winners were Jenny Ogg (25), Chris Hill (19) and Jan Ferguson (25) with 73 points. Drive & Pitch 4th: Jan Ferguson Pro-pin: Di Mellen ($50). Stroke Presidents Cup R2/Club Medal R3 (Thursday 10 May) The perfect autumn weather continued until the last few holes - the wind came up with a vengeance and the cooler temperatures followed later in the day. There were 24 players competing in three divisions. Division 1 Winner & Vets: Chris Hill (19) Nett 73 Scratch: Chris Hill 92 gross Putts: Chris Hill 26 Division 2 Winner & Vets: Jane Clifford (28) Nett 76 Scratch: Helen Chadwick 103 gross on countback from Jan Tuite Putts: Sue Olson 28 Division 3 Winner & Vets: Pat Donohue (34) Nett 74 Scratch: Pat Donohue 108 gross Putts: Anne Vitou 34 In division 3 we also had a play off from the last medal round on 21 March. Faye Frith (33) with a nett 76 was the winner from Cathy Maule. Faye's injury from a rogue stick on the 6th did not seem to slow her down. Well done Faye. Next Thursday's event is also the qualifying round for this event. Clubs around the state hold this annual event with winners then playing in a district final. The CSGA district final is scheduled for 23 August. Winners from district finals qualify to play in the state final 20-23 November at Bonville Golf Resort. All players are welcome to play in the daily competition but both players need to have paid the $5 entry fee if you want your winning score entered in the next round. Most will have already paid this (in the $35 collected at the beginning of the year) but if you haven't paid see me on Tuesday or pay at the pro-shop on Thursday. Jane Clifford Vice Captain Single Stableford (Saturday 28 April)This event was contested by 11 players. The winner was Judy Windybank (23) with 33 points on a countback from Julia Skamperle (10). Julia also won NTP 2nd shot 15th hole. 2 Person Ambrose (Tuesday 1 May)Luckily the weather was perfect for the 24 players as play was very slow today. Winners were Pam Barker (20) and Margaret Horwitz (25) with a nett 74. They were closely followed by a visiting team of Donna Molloy (14 Mollymook) and Chris Williams (14 Oatlands) with nett 75. Donna and Chris also won NTP 2nd shot on the 4th hole. Single Stroke (Thursday 3 May)Another perfect Bowral day for today's 26 players. Margaret Horwitz (21) continued her top form winning with a nett 70. Ruth Bailey (38), showed that a holiday can be good for your golf, was a very close second with a nett 71.
