May has arrived and one would be forgiven for thinking it was still summer.
AGM - We start a new year and wish Grant and his team success. SOCIAL EVENTS - According to my calender there is a Trivia night and a Debate coming soon. Watch the notice board in the club house for further details. BRONZE SHIELD PENNANT RESULTS - The pennant team season has now concluded. Our last two matches were at Royal Military College and Belconnen courses playing Fairbairn and Royal Canberra, with one win and a loss. We can hold our heads high with 15 wins, 1 square and 19 losses overall. (see points table on Notice board) I congratulate all members of the team , players and caddies, and look forward to enthusiasm from the ladies to take part in the 2011 season. The CSGA requires our intention to field teams for 2011 in July this year. (See expressions of interest sheet in locker room) HANDICAPS - Unfortunately for some including myself we are going out, out, out!!! Hopefully this will eventually settle down. Don't dispair, we can still enjoy the game no matter how big or small the handicap. GOLF PROGRAMME - We have secured the sponsorship of the Mittagong Garden Centre for the Marjorie Walker Memorial Rose Bowl event. Roz Mather has agreed to provide a Rose Bush at presentation day for this event. Thank you Roz.
