Ladies I refer you to the Live Golf Results for todays competition.
A lovely day on the course with 33 ladies taking part today.

We are still looking for 1 player to complete the teams for next Thursday (Closing Day). Don't forget if you are a trophy donor your gift is required to be delivered to the club house office or committee member by Wednesday 7th December.

Tuesday 6th December is the District Colin Stamm Match Play Trophy event. For ladies not playing you are welcome to come to Highlands for lunch. Just ring Captain, Rhonda Brindle on 4861 3666 ( bus. hours).
Should next Thursdays weather not be kind to us the Luncheon and Presentation of Trophies will take place about 12.30pm. Golf next Thursday will be fun - 3 clubs and a putter and all Par 3 holes. Remember after playing the 6th hole walk straight through the trees to the middle of the 10th fairway (near bell) to find the next tee position. The time sheet is displayed in the locker room. Names on the computer are only there for administration purposes and do not tell you from which tee you start.

Division 2 - Bronze Cup - Pam Barker (BGC) -94, Gwladys Reid (HGH) 102 & Elizabeth Shepherd (MV) - 105. Winner - Pam Barker - 94.

Presentation Day is only a week away. Donated trophies may be left at the office or with a Committee Member. Join the players for a fun event (15 holes). Currently we need 2 more players to complete the teams.

The Colin Stamm Salver - a district match play event is being held next Tuesday. Thank you to the ladies who have offered to play. The starters sheet is in the locker room. Lunch and presentation will be held at Highlands Golf Club. If you wish to come for lunch only please let me know.

Today was the CSGA Gala Day - a day specifically to raids funds for KIDS with SIDS. Captain Pam & Treasurer Anne ventured to Goolabri Golf Club (near Canberra) to partake in the event. A new course to the CSGA circuit, it is a 9 hole 18 tee course. Eighty ladies played in an enjoyable day - we may not go back . Anne & I wondered if our buggies would survive the rough terrain. As members of the CSGA we must not discourage players from attending these events and we both looked on the day as "An Experience". For ladies in the know, Pam Barker did NOT win anything in the raffle much to the surprise of the CSGA Committee but a lot of money was raised for the KIDS.
On the local front a small field ventured out in the weather for a stableford round.
Jan Southon again was a winner with 41 points and reduced her handicap. There is no stopping Jan at present. Runner Up was Anne Geddes with 35 points and Toni clarke won the NTP on hole 14.

Today the ladies hosted the District Combined Christmas Cheer. What a great day. Bowral was represented by 34 ladies, Moss Vale 32 & Highlands 18 Ladies.
The event a 3 person, 2 best scores multiplied was well received. The golf was followed by a luncheon. Congratulations to the staff and all of Bernadettes helpers for a job well done.
Winners were: Bev. Kemp Clayton (BGC), Sally Bailey (MV) & Carolyn Webb(HGC)with a score of 117 points.

Members and friends are welcome to follow the field if they are not playing on the day. The Bowral Ladies will be playing a 4BBB.

Craig Langby - our teaching pro kindly donated the Long Drive prizes and two encouragement prizes , won by Noela McMurray & Stephne Whiteway.
Craig has also advised that once a month he will donate a prize for the lady members.- - THANK YOU CRAIG. The ladies wished Craig well in next weeks event at Creswick Golf Club in Victoria.
COMBINED CHRISTMAS CHEER - SUNDAY 11TH DECEMBER.
At a meeting of the Match & Greens Committee this afternoon it was decided to reformat this event. Players will now be playing a Canadian Foursomes. Please advise on the starters sheet if you will be staying for the BBQ and if you have any special dietary requirements.

Todays event was a stableford round. 20 ladies played and the winnner was:
Barbara Clayton - 38 points, Runner Up - Robyn McGinnes - 35 points.
A 12 hole competition was also played and 7 ladies took part in this competition.
Barbara Westwood was the winner with - 20 points and Leonie Cooper was runner up with 15 points on a count back.
Well done to all the ladies.
Next tuesday is the District Combined Christmas Cheer. The draw has been done and will be in the locker room on Wednesday 16th. It is a shot gun start - 8.00 am for 8.30 am. Each team includes players from either Moss Vale or Highlands or both clubs. It is a fun day so please enjoy your fellow golfers company.
The next Tuesday - 29th November is the District Champion of Champions. This event is for Division 1 & 2 Club Champions only. The Bowral Ladies will be playing a 4BBB stableford event, starting after the Champs have hit off..
A reminder that Thursday 8th December is our grand finale for the year. A fun day with 3 clubs and a putter, followed by lunch and the presentation of the years donated trophies. The starters sheet is i the locker room. Make up a team or join another. Dress up or stay normal, but above all come along and join the fun.
The Clubs Mixed Christmas Cheer is being held on Sunday 11th December.
This is a shot gun start followed by a BBQ dinner. The starters sheet is on the easel. Make up a team or join another. Please read the instructions for the game. This is a real novelty event. All you need is 2 clubs ( Your Captains Choice and your putter) and may be a few balls.

For a trial period there will be NO 10th tee start. We are receiving requests from Social players and need this tee to accomodate them.
Summer tee times start at 8.00 am. If this change causes a problem please let me know.
Trophy donors for the year 2011 are listed in the locker room. Please ensure that your trophy is received by the committee by Wednesday 7th December.
Craig Langby will be on leave from 18th November, playing in the Teaching Federation tournament at Creswick, near Ballarat, in Victoria. Craig we wish you well and in Craig's absence we will have Stuart Denholm in the pro shop.
