It is only 4 sleeps and Santa will be here - hoorah. I hope he doesn't forget my address.
Yesterday Don & I travelled to Goulburn to see the disaster that took place in the club house. Whilst we may have water lying around on our course we certainly do not have it seven feet up the walls. The ladies locker room was an empty shell where once cupboards were full of golf gear, shelves displayed trophies and time sheets were to be seen, all this has gone and it is only a figment in ones imagination. I am sure they will be back - the spirit of the country club does not die. Graeme Bugden, the Pro, was trying to salvage as much as he could from the Pro Shop and there were bargains for all. From Goulburn we went to Tully Park - if you had trouble with the trees on the 8th fairway (up the hill) you probalby won't any more they have all been uprooted by the raging river. The course was closed but a band of volunteers will be hard working and get it all back together. I am sure we will all think of these fellow golfers and friends as we celebrate the festive season. Thank you to all the ladies for your contribution to golf and the golf club social scene in 2010 and we look forward to a great year in 2011. Merry Christmas to all. 3 lady members played with their off spring.
The winners of the ladies comp were McMurray & Barker-- 44 points runners up Barnsley and Chadwick---42 points Congratulations to Kathy -- now on a handicap of 16. ![]()
