Hello Ladies,

Phewwww!  What a huge day we had today!

CONGRATULATIONS! to all the winners and participants for our 54 Hole CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS.


As well as the final figures we also had presentations to the Daily Scratch Winners and Scratch Runner Up - so I will list them first:

Hello Ladies,

Seems like no time since I was last writing to you! (like 24 hours).

It was great to see 26 ladies play in our Canadian Foursomes Event today. It is good  to see our "12 holers" joining in our 18 hole tournaments more often.  It is beneficial  for you to get different experiences and we like to see all our players enjoying the amenities together.  

The winners Leonie Carroll and Wendy Pope won a $15 voucher each with a score of 75.75 Nett.  Balls went to 3 teams; Noela McMurray & Steph Whiteway on Nett 77.75, Anne Vitou & Pam Barker on80.125 and Uschi Eriksson & Carole Turpie on Nett 80.875.

The Pro-Pin was won by Pam Barker - $30 voucher.

Congratulations to all winners and to all those who played.

Pat Donoghue was recognised today for displaying the "true spirit of golf".
After finding out she did not have a partner, she decided to play a social game so that the the other pair would have a marker for their game.  She received a donated ball for her good sportsman(lady) ship!

Please check the computer or sheet for your tee-off time for Thursday's last week of the Club Championship.  We would like to see everyone attend the Presentation please.  Good Luck and Good Golfing to all.

P.S.  Have you checked out the men's Blog and the great pictures of Kevin & Wendy Burke and Kevin and Bronwyn Kenny who represented  us at the Gala Awards night on Friday night?  Great pics!

Hello Ladies,    (Mon 28.10.13)

Hello Ladies,

18 Ladies played in our Stableford Comp. today in one division.
The Winner was Jan Ferguson (29) with a lovely score of 38 points (2 balls)on a count back from Wendy Pope also on (29) (1) ball also balls  to Anne Geddes and Pam Barker.  The Pro-Pin of $30 was won by Wendy Burke.  Congratulations to all Players.

That is all the news for today as I am mentally exhausted after attending 3 consecutive Meetings.  All were interesting and achieved quite a lot.  Will have more details on Thursday's blog (hopefully)!

Hello Ladies,

7 Ladies played in our Sat comp today.  It was nice to welcome Marcia Jackson as she has had some nasty problems with her back.  However, Marcia played very well and was our Winner with 104 Gross / 71 nett.  Carole  Turpie was Runner up with 101/73. Points for the 7 day Players towards the Trophy: Carole 3 points, Stephne 2 points and Noela McMurray 1 point. Noela also won the No of Putts = 27.  Well done Ladies!

Match Committee members are reminded that there is a Meeting this Tuesday, 22nd Oct at 2.00pm followed by a Committee Meeting then the Captain attends the Match & Greens at 4.00pm.

The Melbourne Cup Sheet is filling up fast so remember to put your names down when your next in the Club.  The Notice is near the Locker Rooms entrance.

What an atrocious windy day we had!  However, after watching the News and seeing the devastation the fires have caused to many unfortunate people, we cannot complain.

Despite the weather some very good scores were posted in our first Round of the Club Championships.

As the Conditions of play read this is a 54 hole Scratch Competition with daily Scratch winner and Runner-up.

Hello Ladies,

25 Ladies played in the Stableford Comp today.  As the weather warms up so do the number of players increase which makes for a good competition.  The winner today on a handicap of 40 and a good score of 38 points was Uschi Eriksson.  We seem to have seen this young lady's name on the winners list a lot lately.  Keep up the good work, Uschi. Balls went to Carole Turpie, PamBarker, Anne Keys, Rosemary Downing, Barb Westwood, Anne Geddes and Leonie Cooper.


Please remember to check your Computer or the list in the Ladies Locker Room for the CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP Draw.  It has been updated and some tee times and names have been changed.

Please try to arrive 15 mins before your tee off time, keep up with the group ahead, put your cards in the computer before changing your shoes etc. and most importantly, enjoy the game!

The MELBOURNE CUP Sheet with all the details will be up on Thursday.  $40 for Golf and Lunch or Lunch for  only $30.  You won't find better value anywhere else on Melbourne Cup Day, so come along and enjoy this day out on Tuesday, 6th November, 2013.

Hi Everyone,

5 Ladies joined our Saturday Comp and with beautiful weather and good friends, it was a very pleasant way to spend a few hours!  Now that the pressure is off, Captain Emeritus,  Pam Barker, is quickly returning to her good form with a great score of 95 Gross and 69 nett.  Well done Pam.  Helen C was Runner up 102 gross and 75 nett plus she won the Drive and Pitch on the 15th.  Stephne came 3rd with 80 nett.  These scorers gain points towards the much coveted Noela McMurray Chrystal Trophy at the end of the year.  We hope more girls join us next Saturday!

The CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS Draw will be updated after today and next Tuesdays' game, so please check the computer Tuesday evening for any changes in your Tee off  Time and players.

Congratulations to Anne Vitou with a wonderful win of 6/5 over Margaret Dawkins in the final of the inaugural ROSEVALE SILVER PLATE.  Well done ladies for the manner in which you played and thanks to Pam Barker for refereeing with my assistance. (Luckily, there were no tricky bits for me to ponder over!)

Hello Everyone, 

33 Ladies played in a PAR Comp today with some interesting scores, no doubt caused by the rather windy conditions!. Congratulations to Stephne Whiteway winning Div. 1 with a Square, Div. 2 winner was Carol Turpie with a great +5 and Div. 3 winner was Annie Chabert-McKay with a +2. 10 balls given from -1 to -4.
The Pro-Pin to the  value of $51 was won by Maggie McKenzie. Well done.
(P.S. My apologies for not having a N.T.P. - I forgot to advise the Pro Shop!)

The CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP Draw has been done and the Sheet is in the Locker Room. As prev. advised, all Divisions will commence from the 1st Tee with Div 1 first, then 2 and 3 follows.  Should anyone like to play but had not been on the Sheet you may place your name at the bottom of the draw. Thanks.

Watch for the upcoming events like the MELBOURNE CUP on Tuesday 5th Nov., the BOWRAL TEAMS SHIELD on Sunday  10th Nov.,  plus LEGACY DAY on SAT. 23rd Nov . All these are mixed events and lots of fun! Ask your partners and make up teams now so you can register as soon as sheet or comp is in the computer.

Congratulations! to Pam Barker who won Div 2 Runner Up on a  countback at the Goulburn Breast Cancer Charity Day.  With 65 Players (4 from Bowral) that was a great 40 points score, Pam!

The 12 hole Chicken Run comp commences tomorrow Friday, 11th October, from 2.30pm.  and will continue over the summer months. So, come along and have fun and brush up on your golf skills. Robert Eriksson will arrange a game when you arrive if you like.

Good Luck to Anne Vitou and Margaret Dawkins who play their finals in the "Rosevale Plate" match competition.

Congratulations! and Thanks to all the Ladies who played today.  We always enjoy a day out with the Goulburn girls and today was no exception.  Some very good scores helped  BOWRAL to retain the Shield with a WIN of 7 Matches to 5 Matches from Goulburn.  (Look for some pics from the day in the Ladies Locker Room!)

A Stableford Comp was also played today from the 10th Tee and was won by Sandy Short with a nice score of 31 points. (See Sandy, your husband was right, a break from the stress and excitement of moving into your new home, would do you good!)

I would like to thank Carole Turpie for her assistance as Vice-Pres. today and thanks to Pam Barker for all the preparations prior to today..More about Pam from me on Thursday!

Pres. Anne Keys, Anne Geddes and Jenny Grant played in a Comp at the NSW Course and enjoyed the day with a good Result of +6.

Please remember to put your names down on the Sheet in the Locker Room for the CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS which will commence on Thur 17th thru to 31st Oct but a 
draw will be done after Golf this Thursday, 10th Oct.  I would like to see everyone join in this prestigious event.
