How nice is it to have a week of golf - no cancellations due to the weather!

A great week of golf for all members at Bowral Golf Club.
GOLF RESULTS
Friday 23rd. With the weather a little more promising we had 7 WG's (women golfers) out playing in the field of 29.
1st was Barb Mead with a score of 13.
2nd was Beth Chambers with a score of 12.
Good to see the Women represented this week. Good work to all the WG's.
Saturday 24th. Another good golfing day for the 7 WG's who played. A big thanks to Michelle Alcock who dared to question the status quo! Women Golfers all rejoice! On Saturdays we now have our own Pro Pin competition. A big thanks to Matt in the Pro shop, for organising this and also for organising an Eagles Nest on the 12th! Today we had a small field of WG's - just 7 of us out there.
1st with a score of 35 was Michelle Alcock - obviously feeling extra confident after her win with getting a Pro Pin for us on Saturdays! Although Michelle did not manage to win the Pro Pin she did shine with a BIRDIE on the 6th and 15th Holes. Not content with that she also took out the honour of winning the first Saturday Eagles Nest!
2nd with another good score of 31 was Helen Egan who also won our first Saturday Pro Pin!
3rd with a score of 29 was Julie Skamperle. Julie had a BIRDIE on the 3rd Hole.
It's always so nice to see the BIRDIES being scored!
Sunday 25th. A very small field of 15 with only 3 WG's out to play.
1st was Emma Perham with a score of 26. Well done to all 3 players.
Katrina Onishi had a BIRDIE on the 4th Hole.
Tuesday 27th. Can you believe the weather still held out for us. We had 15 teams out today for a round of Canadian Foursomes.
1st was Di Lindsay and Jan Ferguson with a Net Score of 78.5. These two are very hard to beat when they play together!
2nd was Jane Clifford and Janet Dunn with a very nice Net Score of 82.25
3rd was Helen Balfe and Carol Warner with a very respectable Net Score of 83.625.
Well done to the winners and I hope everyone enjoyed the game.
Thursday 29th. A Stableford round with a field of 20 players.
1st was Maggie McKenzie on CB with a very nice score of 33. This included a BIRDIE on the 12th Hole.
2nd was Virginia Wozniak also with a score of 33 and also with a BIRDIE on the 12th Hole. Virginia won the NTP on the 12th Hole.
3rd was Helen Egan with a very respectable 32 points.
Anne Geddies got a BIRDIE on the 6th Hole and Rosemary Downing got a BIRDIE on the 12TH.
3 BIRDIES on the 12th Hole in 1 comp!!
Pam Barker however took out the real money winning the Pro Pin which had jack potted.

A VERY IMPORTANT REMINDER
The course will be closed on Tuesday 26th March. The wonderful Ellen Neale has done a great job arranging an away game for us at Wollongong! We would love to see you all join us for a day out! The cost for the golf is only $15pp so why not come along. Please put your name down on the sheet in the Locker Room asap as Ellen needs to confirm numbers with the Wollongong Golf Club.
WHATS COMING UP IN OUR GOLFING WORLD
We are going to trial running a 9 hole comp as well as our usual 18 hole comp on Tuesdays. We will merge the 9 hole players in at 8:44 and 8:51 slots starting on April the 2nd. We are responding to requests made by several members and also trying to keep our numbers up on Tuesdays. This may cause a few hiccups, but I hope you will work with us to provide a golf comp for all our women members. Thursdays will continue to be an 18 hole comp only.
Not sure if this is good news or bad news but it is news!
Thursday 14th was listed as a Stableford Comp but has been changed to a Stroke round as we did not have a NSW Medal and Club Medal Round scheduled for March.
The Match Committee has reviewed the next 3 months of fixtures and there will be some changes made. If your name is down on the time sheet on any of the dates that need to be changed we will send you an email to let you know what the change is.
BOWRAL GOULBURN SHIELD @ Bowral on the 19th March.
We still need players so please put your name down on the sign-up sheet in the locker room. We need 4 players from Div 1, Div 2 & Div 3.
