At the moment we have preferred lies 'in the general area'. This means that we mark the ball with a marker or tee and prefer the ball no more than 30cms from where the ball was originally. The general area refers to most of the course except the Tee, Bunkers, Penalty Areas and the Green. In competitions, please make sure that you mark your ball before lifting it. The ball may be cleaned before being replaced.

WHITTAKERS WINNERS
Winter can be very mundane when it comes to the fruit bowl. I just love the faux limes and lemons from Country Accent and they look amazing bar the citrus aroma. They often sell out, so ask if they are not on display.
· While you are in the faux frame of mind, have another visit to K Mart and checkout the faux bowls of English buxus in a pale terracotta bowl. Two would look super on a patio table and at $25 each they are a great gift idea for, dare I say it, Christmas.
· Priceline get the thumbs up this week for their packets of 10 hand warmers. They are under the counter at the checkout. Keep them in your golf bag for those freezing mornings ahead. About $12.
Stay well and enjoy the local shops as we are so lucky they are all open.
