SOME POINTS TO NOTE:
Next week we play the GNSW 3BBB v Par. The entry fee for this event is $15 per team . This must be paid before you hit off so please bring extra money with you. This event was not included in the extra money we collected at the beginning of the year. If you do not want to qualify please mark your card NTQ. The number of teams entering will depend on the number of teams we are able to send to the District Play off. The more the better.
The Barbara McCarthy event to be played on Thursday 5th July is a stableford round NOT STROKE. My apologies.
RULES : Do you know what to do if your ball is in a garden bed?
There are a couple of garden beds on our course that are designated by BLUE pegs. Relief may be otained from these areas within one club length of the nearest point of relief not nearer the hole. All other garden beds are NOT garden beds, they are part of the course and you play as it lies or if unplayable take a penalty according to the rules.
PRO PIN: This is a competition run by the club for club members and is not part of the ladies competition. Therefore if you NCR or are disqualified this does not preclude you from winning the pin. This decision was made by the club officials and ratified at Match & Greens meeting this evening.
PRACTICE AREA - 10thTEE - This will be marked this week for players starting their competition from the 10th tee.
UNMARKED HAZARDS: There has been some discussions between players regarding unmarked hazards on our course. This was discussed at Match & Greens this evening and a policy will be issued by the Captain this week but from what I understand is that if the hazard is not marked and there is water present it should be treated as casual water. If this changes I will keep you posted.
Good golfing over the coming weeks and lets hope this fine weather continues.
