At least we had some very respectable weather for our rescheduled match from Opening Day, when the heavens opened!
It was an all the way win to the President’s team, 363 points (aggregate Stableford) versus 338 points for the Captains team.
Congratulations to President Carole and her amazing partner Anne Spiden, who came in with the best round of the day of 44 points! Anne had a ‘blinder’ scoring three and four pointers monotonously often. Subsequently the handicapper checked her card, as with 44 points and being on the card 11 times, she can be individually handicapped. The verdict: Anne dropped two shots, so congratulations to her!
Congratulations also to the best performers for the Captain’s team, Toni Clarke and Jenny Ogg, with 41 points. Toni also won NTP on 6th hole, while Anne Geddes won Drive and Pitch on15th, and Jenny Ogg the Pro Pin.
Oh well, there’s always next year…
Saturday Stableford
Helen Chadwick continued her good form with 34 points, from Noela McMurray on a count back. Jenny Ogg won Drive and Pitch on the 12th, and also had 32 points with Sue Olson to collect a ball each.
Tuesday 2 person Stableford Multiplier
This can be a cruel game, and the variation in the scores from 23 to 70 points across the 12 teams underlined the evident. Leah Boyd and Anne Vitou must have been in great synchronization to record their 70 point score and win the $15 vouchers each. Runners up ($10 vouchers) were Leonie Carroll and Di Mellen with 54 points!
Faye Frith won the pro pin $78, and Anne Vitou the NTP second shot on the 12th (Div. 2).
Ball winners were Shirley Brereton and Fran White, Anne Spiden and Judy Maude, and Anne Geddes and Faye Frith.
Sheets are in the locker room for the Medal round on 14th April, and the Invitation Day for 21st April. Please start inviting anyone you know from other clubs ASAP to secure your place in the Shotgun start for the 4 person team event ‘fun’ day!
