Only four players were patient enough for the late start due to the Veterans Golf Carnival…! Jane Clifford won with 34 points.
Thursday Golf: Medal of Medals:
And Jane carried her good form over to today’s Medal of Medal Stroke round to be awarded the major Medal and have her name on the Honour board for the year! Congratulations, Jane…74 nett.
Division 1 winner was Chris Hill (net 70) from Anne Geddes (75).
Jane, of course was Division 2 winner, from Anne Vitou, also 75 nett.
NTP on 12th (2nd shot) winners were Barbara Clayton (Div 1) and Anne Keys (Div 2). The $45 Pro pin was taken out by Pat Donoghue.
Canberra Shield:
IN CASE YOU HAVEN’T HEARD, WE WON THE CANBERRA SHIELD FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER (in 17 years of being contested) AT MURRUMBIDGEE GC LAST THURSDAY.
It is on display in the member’s room, but will shortly go off for engraving before it will be properly displayed for the coming year!

Unfortunately we had a small turnout, and not enough ‘firepower’ this year to retain this trophy. Well done to Captain Paul Carroll, whose team narrowly won this year by just three Stableford points!!
