But first we need to resolve a three-way tie in Division 2! Jan Ferguson, Jane Whittaker and Sue Harrison each scored 76 nett today. The next stroke round is scheduled for 31st August – we hope all those ladies can play on that day and we can find an outright winner! Sue had the best scratch score (101), Jan won the Veterans Ball and Jane won the putts (32 c/b). Nicely shared around.
Pam Barker, who collected the Medal, dominated Division1 with Best scratch score, Veterans and “putts” prizes for the day with 95/77 and 30 putts (c/b). Chris Hill had a “look in” as Runner Up with a nett 78.
Rosemary Downing was similarly dominant in Division 3, scoring The Medal (nett 75), Best scratch score (110), Putts (33) and the Veterans Ball! Faye Frith was Runner Up with 79.
The Unity Cup Interclub Event is to be played at Moss Vale on Tuesday 29th August, a 4BBB v Par Handicap competition, competed for by an equal number of teams from each club. We have 12 players so far – I will let you know your tee times ASAP. Lunch at MVGC will follow.
Our best wishes go with our Club Representatives travelling to Belconnen GC in Canberra on Thursday 24th August for the Regional Final of the 4BBB v Par event. Sue Harrison and Carol Humphreys, Sandy Short and Jenny Ogg will no doubt be doing their best for the club and a chance to go to Bonville GC for the State final.
The three person Coloured Ball event was a little stressful for some, with 8/10 teams returning with the ball to the Pro Shop! Winners with an amazing 79 points, were Jill Scott, Faye Frith and Jane Clifford, from Robyn McGinnes, Leonie Carroll and Wendy Burke (75). Lucky we don't play that game very often!
