We were able to do a couple of "Mini Presentations" on Thursday which was lovely.
Well done to Jenny Ogg for winning the S.A.C Race for 2021 and Sue Harrison for being joint winner of the Saturday Cup with Maggie McKenzie.
Do hope Jen enjoyed her bottle of Mumm!
Stuart passed away in 2021, and his family have very kindly donated a trophy to the club. Stuart was a wonderful man, with a big heart.

Here we go again, I can hear you say!! Just a few tips to help speed up the Pace of Play....
- Please be at the 1st tee at least 10 minutes before your Tee Time.
- Keep up with the group in front.
- Tee off before marking your card (if it is safe to do so). Move off the Green promptly after putting out.
- Place your buggy/cart at the back or side of the green nearest to the next teeing area.
- Only take a maximum of 3 minutes to look for your ball. If you are having trouble on a hole, and you have lost a fairway or two, call the group behind you through.
A round of golf is meant to be played at a prompt pace.
Your pace of play is likely to affect how long it will take other players to play their rounds, including both those in your group and those in following groups. You are encouraged to allow faster groups to play through.
Pace of Play Recommendations. You should play at a prompt pace throughout the round, including the time taken to:
- Prepare for and make each stroke,
- Move from one place to another between strokes, and
- Move to the next teeing area after completing a hole.
When it is your turn to play:
- It is recommended that you make the stroke in no more than 40 seconds after you are (or should be) able to play without interference or distraction, and
- You should usually be able to play more quickly than that and are encouraged to do so.
The Green's Renovations are happening in March - 14th and 15th.

WHITTAKER'S WINNERS
- WOOLIES - I have been reluctant to tell you about these really delicious little gems as they have been very difficult to come by - but now they are readily available. Simmone Logue Cocktail Quiches.
- ALDI - It can be challenging when you want to have just a one shop stop and some of Aldi’s meats should not be overlooked especially their pork. Try the marinated Pork Fillet, its vacuum packed and it’s like a tube! Cook it exactly according to the directions and don’t be tempted to wrap it up in foil! It’s amazing but there is a lot of it so ask the neighbours in for dinner! I cut it on the bias and serve it with mash.
- ADAIRS - This is a great idea that I stumbled across whilst trying to find a spot for a woven basket I had bought some time ago - see photo below. I turned it upside down and it suddenly became a drum stool and side table! If you wanted, you could put a round tray on top (try Country Accent). Now I did buy this one pictured at Adairs, but they’re not hard to find just make sure the handles don’t get in the way and that the base is presentable. Mine is called a ‘Poppy’ basket from last season but I have seen the same in stock now with a different pattern. The prices vary but they are so cheap compared to the real deal drum stools.
