24 players provided some very competitive scores.
The winner was Robyn McGinnes (29) with 36 points from Anne Geddes (20) with 35 points. The ball run down went to 31 points.
Drive & pitch 4th: Maggie McKenzie
Ellen Neale won the jackpot pro-pin ($51).
Canberra Shield (Thursday 9 November)
Bowral joined 12 other CSGA clubs at Queanbeyan in an attempt to defend the Canberra Shield that we proudly won last year. I am sure you all remember our great win at Murrumbidgee when we won all 8 of our matches.
This year’s event was for teams of 6 players and played as a Stabrose. The game is played in the normal Ambrose format but scoring is based on how we score for Stableford.
Our team of Pam Barker, Annelise King, Di Mellen, Helen Chadwick, Jane Clifford and Pat Donohue made a valiant effort and scored 101 points. Unfortunately, the home team advantage paid off for Queanbeyan winning with 123 points.
Well there is always next year.
Upcoming events
There is a late start on Tuesday for our Par game.
Also, don’t forget that Bowral is hosting this year’s Combined Highlands Christmas Cheer on Tuesday 28 November. It should be a fun day (16 holes) and a great chance to join forces with Moss Vale and Highlands. The Berrima District Champion of Champions is also played on this day – make sure you are there to support our 2017 Club Champion Anne Geddes.
