Jan Tuite, Sally-Anne Ferguson and Kate Wegmuller. Woohoo!!
Fantastic result girls - CONGRATULATIONS ALL ROUND!
Whilst the "Sheila's" are enjoying a bit of Summer, the rest of us are probably sweeping up leaves, thinking of lighting the fire and wearing our very best winter sweater!
With the course open this week, a few hardy souls trudged through the slosh and mud on Tuesday and Thursday.
Tuesday was actually really hot and steamy, whilst yesterday a highland mist hung over the course. It was just lovely to get outside and hit a few balls, albeit most of them were lost in the rough or just disappeared! Funny that!!
A few of you have been asking about the first round cutoff date for the Jubilee Foursomes and the Challenge Bowl.
As the course has been closed and Easter is almost upon us, we have decided to amend the Knockout Schedule. Please see attached file; the new schedule will be up on the noticeboard early next week.

- Call your playing partners if you cannot play.
- Make sure we don't leave women members on their own on the 1st Tee.
- Please discuss with the Pro Shop if you are changing Tee times (moving up or down).
Of course, on a normal competition day, the Pro Shop is in charge of the Timesheet.
We are hoping that most of the wet weather is behind us, so we can play our planned events.
Unfortunately the Bowral/Goulburn Shield has been postponed from next Tuesday 29th March to a date to be decided. Thank you to all of you who had put your name down to play - I will be in touch with the new date.
One of our BIG days of the year is happening on Thursday 28th April. It is the Bowral Women's Invitation Day. This day gives you a chance to invite a pal from another club to play in a fun event. Please click on button below for more details. The flyer is also in the locker room. Let's hope it is dry by then!

- Deebs Café - What a marvellous little shop this is in Springetts Arcade. For a while now I’ve been buying their super takeaway Homemade Shepherds Pie and their Homemade Meatloaf which is also great! I know these things are simple to make but there are times when you feel you just can’t cook and the takeaway meals here are particularly good. I’ve been told the soups are also fabulous. Sizes and prices vary but the most is $25. Well worth it. The ingredients are listed on the package revealing a rather curious way of making Shepherds Pie, and wow!
- Woolies – If you are one for a family roast, don’t forget the Yorkshire Puddings and who cares if it’s not roast beef your cooking?? I discovered, in the freezer section amongst the potato items, Yorkshire Puddings. Such a good idea as who wants to make them? Just pop them in a very hot oven for 5 mins. The Real Yorkshire Puddings Co. boxes of 6, $4.99 and made in Yorkshire!
- Aldi - The towels are back this week and it’s time to stock up. If you are not familiar with these Aldi towels I can thoroughly recommend them as the quality is excellent. I have had some now for years and they show no sign of thinning or fraying. The sizing is generous, the thickness very good and usually a very good selection of colours. Very hard to beat. Bath sheets are $17.99
