Another day, another shower! Just when we thought that maybe, just maybe, we could play some golf on our course, the rain came back again last Wednesday and smashed our positive thoughts! Perhaps next week - but as you can see from the booking sheets, NO CARTS UNTIL AT LEAST WEDNESDAY OF NEXT WEEK.
How good was Cam Smith winning The Player's Championship Trophy on Monday/Tuesday our time at Sawgrass? An epic final 3 holes.
Cameron also won $5 million for his efforts - good on him. He was asked how he was going to spend the winnings - this was his answer!!
“I have no idea, but it is Mum’s birthday next month so there’ll be something in store for mum,” he said of his mother, Sharon, who along with his sister, Mel, travelled to the US for the first time since COVID-19 began in 2020. Good timing.
“Getting my family something is my main priority; Mum and Dad have given up so much through their lives so I want to give back.”
I do have some other VERY good news - both our Pennants Teams won yesterday! HURRAH. HURRAH!
The Bronze Sheila's played RMC @ Federal Golf Course and WON 3.5/1.5. Huge congratulations to the team which comprised of:-
JANE CLIFFORD, ELLEN GOODWIN, JAN TUITE, SALLY-ANNE FERGUSON AND ANDREA TOMLIN.
Here they are, looking resplendent in the new Club Shirts. Sally-Anne had to go to a meeting, so is absent from the photo.

Depending on the weather, your Match Committee may have to change the first cut-off date for the Challenge Bowl and Jubilee Foursomes Knockouts. We will keep you informed, either through the blog or on the Noticeboard.

Below is the team for the Bowral/Goulburn Shield, first match, due to be played on Tuesday 29th March at Bowral. As you can imagine, things are not looking very conducive to be playing a "friendly match" on our course. In talking with the Women's Captain at Goulburn, we might change the venue, and play at Goulburn on MONDAY 28TH MARCH.
A decision will be made on Tuesday, and I will let everyone know ASAP and ascertain your availability.
