Ten Bowral ladies represented the club and braved the cold weather to enjoy the friendship with their fellow vets.
Jill Scott stared in Division 1 with a score of 38 points coming second to Margaret Webb from Goulburn who had a score of 39 points. Barbara Westwood was the star in Division 2 coming 3rd on a count back with 37 points. Thank you to the ladies for participating. The only other winner on the day was your truly winnig the raffle, yet again. A lovely Coles Myer voucher - Thank you to the CSGA. I have had a call from the President this evening. She is in complete dismay that I have again won their raffle. Shame the golf was not as good. Good golfing this week. Thursday we have a fun day with a 2 person multiplier. ![]()

Click montage to enlargeThe day dawned, as Sam Hunt had guaranteed fine, but alas it wasn't to last for long.
Due to the wet conditions the field was cut from 70 to 59. Clubs represented were: Avondale, Killara, Cabramatta,Gold Creek (ACT), Highlands, Goulburn, Moss Vale and of course Bowral. The Championship, best scratch score overall was won by Jocelyn Mackay H'cp 3, from Moss Vale with a score of 80. The Best Nett score overall was won by our own Helen Chadwick, H'cp30 with a nett 68. Unfortunately for some players because the bunkers were declared compulsory GUR there was no handicapping for this event. This was a ruling from Golf NSW. The winners of each division were: Division 1 - Scratch - Jocelyn Mackay - 80, Runner Up - Patricia Nance ( Cabramatta) 82. Division 1 - Nett - Margaret Butcher ( Moss Vale) Hcp 22 - 71, Runner Up - Susan Campbell (Avondale) 21 - 72. Nearest the Pin - Patricia Nance ( Cabramatta). Long Drive - Margie Cashwell (Gold Creek) Division 2 - Scratch - Jill Scott - 97, Runner Up - Helen Chadwick - 98. Division 2 - Nett - Anne Geddes Hcp 27 - 72, Runner Up - Stephne Whiteway Hcp 29 - 73 c/b. Nearest the Pin - Helen Chadwick, Long Drive - Marilyn Manfred (Goulburn) Division 3 - Scratch - Alison Durbin (Highlands) 106, Runner Up - Wendy Burke 109. Division 3 - Nett - Winner - Shirley Brereton Hcp 42 -79, Runner Up - Pat Donoghue Hcp 43 - 80. Nearest the Pin - not won, Long Drive - Barbara Clayton. If any of these scores seem incorrect that is because you cannot win more than 1 major trophy and scratch takes precedence over nett. Congratulations to all the winners. Thank you to all the ladies for taking part in this event. It is probably the biggest event we have on the ladies calender each year. My thanks also to Lea Binns, starter on the 10th tee, Craig in the Pro Shop, Trudy for her assistance and without a doubt the girls in the bar & catering areas. Well done ALL.
