Pam Barker
Congratulations to Alexandra Dowling for a HOLE IN ONE on the 4th hole yesterday in the Mixed Event. Well done Alex. I look forward to toasting your
success. Pam Barker Today the ladies welcomed Christine Beattie from New South Wales Club into the competition.
Our first stroke round of the year produced a great score from Noela McMurray with a nett 69 and 3 points towards the Saturday Ladies Trophy for 2012. The putting competition was one by Pam Barker on a count back from Noela with 24 putts- 9 putts on the back nine clinched the win - but oh for the 14 shots on the 10th hole and no putts. Looked good on the card with a gobbler. Thank you to the lady members who attended the Friday night BBQ. Robert Eriksson - a feather in your hat and to your helpers a job well done. Thank you. A field of 26 players took part in todays event - stableford.
The winner with a great score of 47 was Shirley Brereton. I had the privilege of playing with Shirley and it was good to see the four and five pointers entered on her card. Well done Shirley- unfortunaltey for Shirley the handicapper got her and a few others for their good scores. Winner - Shirley Brereton - 47 points Balls - Wendy Burke - 38 , Pat Donoghue - 38, Carol Turpie - 37 and Helen Martin - 35. NTP - 14th hole - Div 1 - Jill Scott, Div 2 - Toni Clarke, Div 3 - Fran Stapelfeldt. Secretary Anne has put in the locker room the sign up sheets for Opening Day and the Challenge Bowl.
