GOING MAD!
As you can imagine there is not a lot of golfing news this week. However, the Plate Pennant Team played at the very sunny and beautifully presented Federal Golf Club yesterday. 5 intrepid gals sailed down the highway (a bit of aquaplaning and sailing went on), to play in the first match of the season. Unfortunately, we didn't come away with a win, although everyone played extremely well. We were beaten by a very schmick Gungahlin Lakes team, who were certainly on their game. Well done everyone.
Next week, The Plate Team play at Murrumbidgee on Thursday 10th March and The Bronze Shield Team play at Braidwood on Friday 11th March.
The Bronze Shield Team is -
Sue Flaxman, Jane Clifford, Jan Tuite, Sally-Anne Ferguson & Kate Wegmuller.
The Plate Team is yet to be confirmed.
Good Luck to both teams.
The Hi/Lo Foursomes has been postponed to be played at a future date. We are extremely unlucky in trying to play this event, as for the past couple of years it has had to be cancelled for various reasons - mainly wet weather!
The Girl's Getaway is still going ahead @ Kiama Golf Club on Tuesday 15th March. If you have not put your name on the new list and would like to go, please contact Ellen Neale on 0414 835 295.
As you have heard from Kevin Kenny, the course is closed until Tuesday 8th March. Kevin and Matt will re-assess the situation on Tuesday as to when it will re-open. Let's keep our fingers crossed for some dry sunny days ahead.
The 2nd Day of the Newbies Information Session has also been postponed from next Monday 7th March to a future date. If any new member would like to attend the information session, please contact Virginia Wozniak.
Well people, as there is no more golf news, I had better go and organise my weekend Netflix viewing!!
Please stay dry and safe, and if you are travelling, drive carefully.
Hopefully see you on the golf course before the end of March!!
