We are almost at the end of our "Golfing Season" for 2021, with only a few more important events to go - these are.... Finals of the Hastings & Meg Clark Trophy, Combined Christmas Cheer, Annual Meeting & Presentation Day and our Closing Day.
The S.A.C Race is on again for the summer break. It starts on Tuesday 7th December and goes through to 15th January. There are 14 S.A.C Games - we will take the best 6 to find the winner. The sheets will be up in the locker room next week with your names already entered. Just put your Stableford Score next to your name on the correct date. It's a FUN competition and the winner receives a lovely Perpetual Trophy + A Bottle of Mumm Champagne...... Not bad??
GOLF CLINICS
The girls have been enjoying their lessons with Kevin on Mondays and Tuesdays. It was a lesson on their short games last Tuesday, and by the looks of it, they were all progressing beautifully. We look forward to seeing our NEWBIES in the comps very soon. A big welcome to our newest Newbie - Kate Wegmuller.
Having some dry windy weather certainly makes a difference to the course. Matt and his team were very busy mowing the fairways early in the week - and weren't they magnificent on Tuesday?? These 2 "lovelies" took advantage of the superb conditions - we hardly took a preferred lie!
CHRISTMAS RAFFLE
Closing Day is on Thursday 2nd December. The Golf event is 4 sticks and a putter, 3 Person Team Event (Stableford) - a LOT of fun!! Please dress up in whatever you fancy - there will be a prize for the BEST DRESSED TEAM!
If you cannot play golf, but would like to come for lunch only (Lovely Christmas Fare), please put your name down on the LUNCH ONLY sheet in the women's Locker Room by Monday 29th November 2021.
NEWS FLASH!!!! Our last knockout has been finalised .... Carole Byrnes won 1Up on the 18th from Marg Horwitz!! What a fantastic finals match in the Hastings and Meg Clark Trophy

WHITAKER'S WINNERS

Christmas is not far away and I guess you are all madly thinking of what to buy that is just a bit different. Whether it be a girlfriend, sister, daughter or daughter-in-law or just a present for yourself……
- Lin & Barrett Lingerie – knickers! What a find and I bet you’ll buy several pairs. French of course! These amazing little undies will fit literally any size and yet they fit into the palm of your hand. One size fits all. Very chic and not a seam to be seen when worn. The full brief is the way to go but I promise there is nothing ‘mummy’ about them. They are almost sheer when stretched on and NEVER move so how good is that. Available in skin tones but also a vibrant orange and, my favourite, the leopard print. $29.99 by Chantelle. A perfect gift. Ooh La La!
- Tempt Me – This delightful Bong Bong St shop sells some very interesting bits and pieces but I really think the Fresh Water Pearls are their speciality. The fresh water pearl earrings are lovely and so reasonably priced. For the girl who has everything, look at the fresh water pearl necklaces that are threaded on leather. I really love the open ended necklaces that can also be worn as a tie belt. Supplies fluctuate so make sure you ask for them if not in stock. Imagine getting a necklace and a pair of the above mentioned undies all parcelled up together! Prices start at about $35.
- Aldi - Yes it is hard to not mention some special items and how good are those parsnips? Well I have another one for you to add to the Christmas Day list. Goose Fat Crispy Roasting Potatoes, a new line and obviously very popular as they sold out quickly. Who wants to be peeling potatoes on Christmas morning?? They will restock so be quick. I have road tested these frozen potatoes which are halved so they are not like a chip, and I think they are excellent. Honestly, who needs all that work and mess on Christmas Day. $3.99 a bag in the frozen vegetable section near the frozen parsnips.
Happy Shopping
