We did manage a little bit of face-to-face yesterday with the Virtual Golf at the club - thanks so much for turning up and supporting the club.
Well done Helen Egan in winning the Par round with a wonderful score of -30 (yes I know that's impossible, but that's what happens in Virtual Golf!). Helen wore wellies on her round, and, unfortunately, according to Helen, they are still in the rough on the 18th!!!!!
On Monday and Tuesday we had 8 lovely gals from Roseville GC visiting Bowral. They DID play 18 holes on Monday, and even though they were covered in mud, all had a great time.
Golf was cancelled on Tuesday, but Di Lindsay and I met them for coffee before doing a bit of retail therapy - what else can you do in the rain?
We have decided to hold an annual event, The Rose Bowl, each year between the Roseville girls and the Bowral Girls. First match is in November - stay tuned for more information.
Here's a photo of the Roseville team enjoying a dinner out in Bowral.

The VWGA Tournament @ Bowral has attracted a wonderful number of entrants. 106 women have booked into the event which is being held @ Bowral GC on Monday 12th and Tuesday 13th September 2022.
A HUGE thank you to Ellen Goodwin for organising the event.
THE EVENT IS NOW CLOSED FOR ENTRIES.
Unfortunately, the events scheduled to be played next week will NOT go ahead, due to the course conditions.
As of today the course is closed until Wednesday of next week, and who knows what is going to happen thereafter.
The Match Committee will be on the front foot next week trying to reschedule the postponed events. At this stage, the Medal Round will NOT go ahead next Thursday, 19th May. As always, we will let you know when the course is open and when we can play 18 holes!
This popped up in my Inbox during the week, and I think it's wonderful - hope you do too!! Click on the link to take you to "103 Bits of Advice I Wish I Had Known."
a snippet.....
We tend to overestimate what we can do in a day, and underestimate what we can achieve in a decade. Miraculous things can be accomplished if you give it ten years. A long game will compound small gains to overcome even big mistakes.

JUST A REMINDER AGAIN, IF YOU HAVE NOT PICKED UP YOUR CLUB SHIRT, PLEASE DO SO ASAP.
We certainly miss the exercise and camaraderie that comes with playing golf.
Sending a BIG "STOP THE RAIN" to Huey!!
That's it for this week - No results, No pennants, No golf ..... BUT there's always Bridge, Lunches, Coffees, Movies. Whatever you are up to - have fun!
