Ladies it is sad for me to report that the CSGA Plate team played their hearts out at Goulburn yesterday, but with the handicap range of 15 - 18 for Belconnen ( the current leaders)and our handicap ranges of 21 - 27 we were rolled. Remember all matches are off the stick. But what a brave effort. Thank you to all the players.
Scores were : Pat Woodberry ( 15) defeated Joan Polglase (21) 7/5 Margaret Salmon (17) defeated Wendy Ruttan (22) 3/2 Margaret White (17) defeated Maggie McKenzie (22) 3/2 Margaret Rumble (17) defeated Judy Windybank (26) 3/1 Shirley Walsh (18) defeated Pam Barker (27) 3/2 We were not to be disgraced. During the week I went to Canberra to play in the Golf NSW Autumn Meeting in Canberra. I played four courses, Royal Canberra, Queanbeyan, Capital Vikings and Gold Creek. My partner,Judy Kent from Pymble and I were successful on 2 days being Runners Up in the Foursomes - Division 2, and Third on a count back in the Team v Par with two ladies from The Coast Golf Club. A four day event similar to the Summer Meeting in the Highlands and well worth a visit. The weather and the beautiful trees in ACT in early May are worth a visit. Next Friday ,13 May, The CSGA Plate team play against Yowani at Royal Canberra. We wish them well. The Bronze Shield team play against Federal at Gungahlin Lakes. Play well but firstly enjoy your day.
