As mentioned above, 41 players played in the 1st Round of the Donkin Cup yesterday. The scores were pretty good considering the conditions.
Sue Flaxman was the winner in Division 1 with 33pts, closely followed by Chris Hill (R/U) on 32pts. In Division 2 - Penny McKenna posted a lovely 32pts, with Prue Taylor the R/U on 29pts. Well done girls!

The 2nd Round of the Donkin Cup is on Thursday 26th August.
PRE-COVID RULES
As of 1st February, we are now back playing "Pre-Covid Golf. Flagsticks can be removed, rakes are back in bunkers, bubblers are working and ball-washers are in use.
The Pro Pin, NTP, D&P are also allowed. The Match Committee decided to re-introduce the Pro Pin on Thursdays.
We now swap our scorecards, so please make sure that there are 2 signatures on each card - Marker and Player. When you have entered your score into the computer, could you please put your cards into the slot next to the computer in the clubhouse. If you enter your score into the computer in the Pro Shop, please hand your signed card to the Pro Shop staff.
PENNANTS
Virginia and Jane have been working very hard behind the scenes to ensure that our pennant teams are up to date with draws, pools, regulations etc.
At the CSGA District Captain's meeting on Monday, it was decided to have only one pool in the CSGA Plate - 9 teams, 8 matches. The Bronze Shield team has not been affected. Thanks again to all the girls who have put their names down to play.
The first matches for both teams are on Friday 5th March. The CSGA Plate play at Murrumbidgee and the Bronze Shield team play at Belconnen. Go Bowral!!
PLAYERS AWARD
The CSGA District Players Award competition for 2021 is open for registrations. This competition is designed to promote participation in District Events and encourages women golfers at all levels to participate in CSGA events and club Open Days.
A change to the Terms of the Competition relate to the maximum daily handicap for determining the winners. To ensure consistency across all eligible events, players in Club Open Days that allow a daily handicap up to 54 will have the scores adjusted to reflect a maximum daily handicap of 45. As per the change made in 2020, points will no longer be awarded for attendance at eligible events.
Registration is free. Players who register before the end of February will have attendance at February events included in their results. Instructions on how to register for the competition are outlined in the ToC's (below). Players can also register at the CSGA Opening Day on 11 February.

Make sure this day is in your diaries! We will play an 18 hole, 3 person team event, shotgun start @ 8.30am. The draw will be done (and put onto the computer) on 16th February, so please put your names down on the sheet in the locker room.
The Champion of Champions is also played on this day.
