Firstly congratulations to Jill Scott winning the 2010 Medal of Medals.
We have experienced the wet weather and lost 2 days play. This may have saved a few handicap blowouts.
Our team selected for the Royal Canberra Challenge Bowl may not have brought home the spoils but they represented your club with pride. Their day was marred by bad weather and a delayed start - sounds like Whistling Straits on Lake Michigan. Thank you to Helen, Jill, Barbara and Beverley.
Today Bernadette and I had the honour of refereeing the final of the Bowral Challenge Bowl - Anne Geddes was the victor with a score of 2/1. Judy Mawbey fought back from 5 down - I think she ran out of puff. Congratulations Anne and comiserations Judy.
Next Thursday we challenge Moss Vale to win back the Unity Cup. The draw is on the computer. If you are now unable to compete please contact Wendy Ruttan so a replacement player can be allocated. The event is a 4BBB v Par - An even number of teams will be competing in the event and the aggregate scores will decide the winner. If you are not in the team you are still competing in the par event.
Thursday 26 August we have 2 teams travelling to Canberra to compete in the CSGA district finals of the 3BBB Classic. We wish all players a fine day and a successful score.
Sunday 29th August a must for all ladies who are not travelling to Merimbula - your place is required in the field for the Captain v Captain event. Ladies we need to win the trophy back. To those venturing to the South Coast have a great time.
And lastly for the month of August Tuesday 31st we are again travelling, not too far this time - Craigieburn for some fun GOLF and LUNCH......... a note for September, remember the CSGA tournament - this year at Goulburn, a short drive - entry forms are available in the locker room.
