I feel it's the same story being told several times.
Last Thursday the ladies played in the Club Med 3BBB Classic Par round. The winners and runners up are eligible to play in the district play off and then if clever enough to score well, go onto the state finals at Bonville, Coffs Harbour.
Out of the 11 teams eligible to play, 7 teams ended up with a score of +11 score. This necessitated a long count back ending in a hole by hole duel. Good luck to the two teams going to Murrumbidgee Golf Club in August for the next round.
The Ladies Charity Day is looming and it is great to see a large number of names on the starters sheet. A draw for tees will be done and the ladies committee will try and accomodate your wishes for close tees. The raffle behind the bar, although labelled Lady Members Raffle,(this means it is organised by the ladies - NOT for the benefit of the ladies), is selling well. If you don't need a Dream Machine then the bottle of St Andrews Old Scotch may be "your Dream Machine".
Now for some more serious words - Remember to check your score card - hole by hole - tally your score and please assist the committee by writing the score in the box at the top of the card.
Your committee are all volunteers and anything you can do to make the job easier is really appreciated.
Last week we saw a great bunch of Juniors under the watchful eye of Tony White, Alec Nicholson, Ron Campbell, Ashley Southon, John Gaundry and Don Barker. Well done to these gentlemen for giving up their time to encourage the next age of members at Bowral Golf Club.
To our ladies, members and families who may not be in good health we wish you a speedy recovery and a return to golf and the club.
Pam Barker - Lady Captain
