Thursday Golf:
Our first medal round held yesterday and some very happy "campers" at the end of the day.
We had a very good field of 34 players, all hitting off the first tee, and with the last players reaching the clubhouse at around 1pm.
The medal winners were:
A Grade - Carol Warner (first one for this "new" member) 74 nett
B Grade - Carole Turpie (great start for 2015) 75 nett
C Grade - A tie between U Eriksson and P Donoghue - 81 nett - this will be contested at the next stroke round to be played.
Balls went to 81 on a countback.
Putts - A grade - Steph Whiteway
B grade - Toni Clarke
C grade - Uschi Eriksson
Vets - A grade - Carol Warner
B grade - Carole Turpie
C grade - Uschi Eriksson
Well done to all winners...............
Open Day Goulburn:
It is great to see that our club will be represented by 12 players next Wednesday - we all enjoy playing their course, and to have some run (at last) will be the icing on the cake! The draw has been received and will be in the locker room today.
Information Meeting:
This was held following the golf presentation.
Those who were present heard from the Women's President that the Board has suggested that due to auditory constraints it had been requested that the women's funds be placed under the umbrella of the club funds.
Whilst the committee had acknowledged that this was probably going to happen they felt it was time to update the constitution to reflect the changing status of our members. As a result a draft resolution was put to the members and discussions held. The purpose of the meeting was merely to advise our members of the situation to alleviate any "gossip" and to ensure the members are aware of the facts of the matter.
Footnote: After all these processes were put in place the Treasurer of the Board came back to the committee and advised the members that they could in fact keep the funds if he countersigns any cheques - this will comply with the auditory constraints.
Any updates will be advised as they occur.
