Recently, NSW announced increased restrictions due to COVID-19 for community sports until the end of September. As a result of this the CSGA Annual Championships due to be held on 21 & 22 September at Federal and Queanbeyan Golf Clubs has been cancelled for 2020.
All is not lost though, as the CSGA has scheduled a one day Annual Tournament to be played at Yowani Golf Club on Monday 21 September. Yowani is easy to get to at the gateway to Canberra so please consider entering. Entries officially close today but if interested please contact Barb Clayton who as Tournament Director may be able to help you with a late entry.

The two day Championships have also been cancelled as discussed above. In light of this, the CSGA has decided in order to be fair to all CSGA members the District Players Award has been cancelled for 2020.
3 Person Ambrose (Greenkeepers Revenge) - Thursday 10 September
What fun for the 23 players. It was a bit like "Where's Wally". Not only were the pins in some tricky places, on many of the holes you needed to play detective to locate the tee markers. Thanks to Matt Morris and his team for setting up a fun day.
The winners on the day were Fran Dubiez, Barb Mead & Alex Dowling (16.5) with a great nett score of 64.5. There were some other very close scores - see at the right under Results.
Foursomes Championships Playoff
As discussed in the blog last week, the winners of the Foursomes Championships 2020 was only decided following a playoff between two pairs.
Your Match Committee has received very constructive comments from some of our members regarding the timing of the playoff which commenced prior to all players completing their second round. These comments have been taken on board and will direct how we conduct any playoffs required in the Club Championships next month.
